We went here as a couple and didn't receive any services, but did the water journey. WOW! First of all, it's extremely clean and immaculate, and a very beautiful facility. They also limit the amount of people allowed in at once (not sure if always or because of COVID, but we really appreciated it!)
The water journey itself was very unique and I liked that it was so clearly laid out. The cold plunge was difficult but I did it twice!
I know it seems silly, but the one thing that I might have enjoyed the most is their outdoor space. I have never been somewhere that was such a haven. They had beautiful flowers, covered chairs/day beds to lounge in, and we spent a good amount of time just enjoying the peace and quiet.
I feel for Newport, the price really wasn't bad either. I would highly recommend this experience!

As a working parent during a time of so much uncertainty and forced change, I forgot about my own personal mental and physical health. It got to be too much and it was time to do something for me. If this sounds familiar, I urge you to check out Bodhi Spa.
Most importantly, the place is spotless/ beyond clean. They send helpful instructions and along with an intake form/ waiver with all the COVID safety measures they are taking and require from patrons. My Swedish Massage with Liza was maybe the best I’ve ever had (pressure was consistent and how I requested, she used techniques to alleviate tension not just relax me and you could feel that the products being used on your skin were top of the line). Lastly, Lizzy at the reception desk was welcoming and helpful. Everyone had on a mask and the staff did a great job of controlling distancing between guests at the spa.
I did not take advantage of the water journey but plan to when I go back to Bodhi with my wife.
I highly recommend The Bodhi Spa. It’s a luxury experience with a local vibe.

Small area but loved they only limit to 15 ppl max per session. Most of the stations only allowed 3-4 ppl max so it never felt crowded. The area was very clean and the attendants were in there frequently cleaning and replenishing water.

My girlfriend and I had trouble booking online so we called, there was no answer and left a message to find time for a couple massage. They texted back with a time for a massage for 5:15pm, we texted back within 6 minutes with the information asked and we thought we were set. An hour and a half later we got a text message saying that someone booked online and took the spot and they had to cancel us. We texted back that we would like to hear from someone so we can figure out why this happened. We heard back from one of the managers who gave a story about how one of the employees had a death in the family, so sorry to hear that, and another was exposed to COVID, again sorry to hear that. But we were not told that but rather that they cancelled our appointment because someone else booked it online. I feel horrible about the issues that arouse with the employees and I hope only for the best for them. But what was done poorly was communicating to us and an offer of service recovery should have been done. We could have easily been satisfied if the manager offered anything even an apology but rather she just went on about how bad the day went. If we heard back right away that the issues that arouse we would have completely understood and would have brushed it off but the fact we were told we were bumped because of an online booking so much later is why I would not recommend this place. I can’t say anything about the actual services but just commenting on the service provided making the appointment.

Be aware…..if you want to use hot tub/pool, you need to book separately. This was not clear to me at all. Very disappointed. Therapist was good. Spa is small so if you are booking for private parties, it’s good. If not, just know you will be in a small changing room/place to dry hair etc…
Unusual, for me, to see a website that shows pool/spa but doesn’t make it clear you can’t use it unless you book. Would have been happy to book if I knew. When I arrived, it was too late. A damper on a girls’ weekend.

Don’t waste your money. My wife and I used the spa recently and there were twelve other people using the facilities at the same time as us. There was no room whatsoever for my wife and I to sit in the hot tubs as they were already full of people. On top of that, the steam room was out of service. We didn’t know that until after we paid around $150 for the two of us. There were no towels in the locker rooms and no locker room attendants.
We may have been ok with the experience if there were only a few other people using the facilities at the same time as us, but with a dozen other people there, most of them talking loudly, we couldn’t wait to get out of there.

This is one of my favorite spas. The water journey is truly relaxing and the massage therapists are fantastic. It can get busy, which would be my only concern if too many guests are booked around the same time. Even so, that would not deter me from returning again.

We did a couples massage , the spa was very nice, clean and the staff was great. I had ok to keep telling my massage therapist the pressure was too hard. At least 7 times….which made it hard to fully relax but I still enjoyed it

My favorite of my experience was the zen garden. It was a great cool down and peaceful area with literally rabbits running playfully around. The decor was awesome and promotes mindfulness. This space allowed my friend and I to truly relax and have great discussion. The spas overall water journey was enjoyable and affordable.

This place is really small, so I am glad it wasn't packed. That being said, I am in love with the hydrotherapy spa. The routine was invigorating, and my skin felt amazing for days after. I didn't get any other treatments, but the prices were really reasonable. I am in love with everything about this place and can't wait to return.

Thank you!!

I typically find the afternoon, early evening appointments the busiest. Thursday-Sunday is pretty tough to get a last minute appointment.

Are there any nice places for lunch within a short walk of the spa?

Newport, RI2 contributions
Absolutely, there is a place 2 blocks from the spa at 580 Thames St called Lorusso’s.
If you’re up for a longer walk there are many wonderful restaurants on the water as well including the black pearl, the mooring, diego’s, and the wharf pub.
Thank you,
Cedar

How do I get here from NYC? Thanks.

If you don't want to drive, you could take the train to Providenece and then take the ferry from India Point Park to Newport. You may find it difficult to get around Newport without a vehicle, though.
