Capt. Eric Thomas provided me with a phenomenal experience. He is a serious guide and know how to get you on fish, Capt. Eric is also a teacher and he is an excellent communicator and conveys great enthusiasm about fishing and the knowledge of Newport. He's an all around impressive guy. I have found the his boat to be top notch both his 19 mako and 28 Hydra sport, and the Mako is built to fish including a front casting cage, his gear and tackle excellent. I caught striped bass, bluefish, small tuna and even a 10ft Blue shark with Teezer.. Book him you won't be disappointed.

Captain Eric is great!! Such a fun day - We went for a half day fishing and had so much fun! Capt. Eric took us to a bunch of different spots off th coast and gave us fun Newport tidbits.

First trip yesterday with Captain Eric was awesome. He put me on the fish and did a great job instructing me. My girlfriend got a little seasick and he did a great job on making her feel comfortable and giving her an opportunity to fish when she wanted to (which wasn't often).
Will definitely fish with Captain Eric again.

I had the best fishing trip of my life thanks to the crew and Capt Eric. His knowledge of the waters and tips on fishing allowed me to catch large striped bass and several large blue fish. We fished all day and caught fish all day. This is what fishing is all about but when your with Eric you should call it catching not fishing.

I have been fishing with Captain Eric Thomas for more than 15 years. We have gone out 8 to 10 times a season from late May to mid October under almost any conditions. We started fly fishing, but in recent years have migrated to light tackle top water casting for the most part
I have gone out by myself and with highly experienced friends as well as young grandchildren, and each trip has been geared to make the experience a pleasurable one for every one on board(no grandchild ever caught less than 3 scup). Eric is a skilled and enthusiastic teacher and does his best to insure that the fishing is appropriate to party on board. He takes as much pleasure in bringing fishermen to breaking fish, as he does when they bring fish to the boat.
Eric has an intimate knowledge of the reefs and rocks below the surface of the bay and the coast off Newport. While he can't guarantee catching large stripers or hard tails later in the season(it is fishing after all),he knows what fish are in the area and where they have been found in the last few days. I have found the chances of success are excellent.
I can highly recommend the services of Captain Eric Thomas.

Amazing fishing charter! Family had a great time catching fish and seeing newport. Captain was friendly, professional and very knowledgable. Definetly recommend.
