We stopped here for a rest during our walking tour of Newport. Very pretty and clean little park with nice benches for a rest. There were enough trees for some shade as it was a hot day. Very welcome spot.

Newport is a small town, and parks like this make it even more pleasant. It is a great place for a short break when power walking to the next shopping destination.

Touro Park is a nice green space; however, it is best for a leisurely stroll to see the Old Mill on its grounds. There are a few paved walks and a few benches and flowers in the park.

This was a bonus of our trip, Several plaques show the possiblity of which part the times this structure could be a part of. Whether you believe it was build be the Knights Temper or later. It is interesting

An interesting structure with some debatable history in the middle of a historic town. It was a longer walk than we anticipated, but a nice diversion from the restaurant and bar strip on Thames Avenue. If you are staying a few days its worth a...More
