Wonderful little area to stroll, and take in the spirit of Newport. Little shops and galleries, and of course, plenty of places to eat. Make sure to get coffee at the end of the adjoining Bannister's wharf at the Coffee Grinder, and definitely look inside...More

Drove past Newport on way back to Providence. Parked car and walked around Bowen’s Wharf where there were many tents and exhibits selling yachts, engines, etc. BTW the America Cup for sailing starts from Newport. Nice harbor town to walk and a lot of seafood...More

Be prepared to pay top dollar for food and gifts along the wharf. It has great views and many eating establishments and gift shops but it is a bit pricey and VERY crowded in the summer, especially on weekends.

It's a good place to visit as long as you prepare for lots of tourists and long lines for dining (at least in summer). Would have loved to have had a bit more sideway along the water.

Great place to go and walk around. So many shops to go to and the restaurants are just as good. Everyday we went to Bowen’s for one of our many meals

We visited here to find somewhere to enjoy lunch in the sunshine and ended up at the Saltwater restaurant (See my other review). There are many shops & restaurants to enjoy here.

Great place to shop and grab a bite to eat, view boats on the water and people watch. This is the spot where you can purchase tickets to some of the cruises around the bay.

Would be crowded. Make reservations to eat if possible. Walk a way to park car in garage. Can be a bit pricey.
