Based on all the good reviews, we stopped here and watched the glass blowing process through a viewing window. Afterwards, we purchased a beautiful glass fish as a souvenir. The shop is a bit further down Thames street and parking can be difficult but it is well worth a short visit while visiting Newport.

Part of my birthday present was to make a glass paperweight at Thames Glass. I had never worked with molten glass before, but the shop artist guided me through every step. It was a lot of fun and the piece turned out great. I would recommend this as a fun project.

An unexpected find on our visit to Newport. We were able to try our hand at glass blowing or "shaping". Very helpful and knowledgeable artists and so much fun. Beautiful store as well where items can be purchased.

Really, really hot. Better precautions can be taken to sterilize the blowing tube. It was a shame that we had to ask the glass artisan did they have something to wipe the tube (that he had just blown through) off. Still, an unforgettable experience. The staff was wonderful and it's a once in a lifetime activity. Yes, it's on the... More

I have seen better presentations of glassblowing. Very nice items made. You watch from outside the building or thru a window in the shop.

My Husband and I had a great time learning and participating in the process of making glass globes. Our instructor, Amanda, was terrific and patient. We have our crafty pieces displayed at home now.

This was the first time i ever attempted to blow glass and they made the experience a ton of fun, and very real. They were great at teaching you along the way about glass blowing, but at the same time letting you try and play with the tools, glass, and of course furnaces while at the same time making sure... We booked two glassblowing sessions at Thames Glass with our adult children. Shane was an amazing teacher and a lot of fun to work with to create a one of a kind memento of our trip. It was easy to book in advance and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!! I would highly recommend this activity!

This was on the top of my list of places to see when I booked my trip to RI. We got there early and watched the glass blowing. They even have classes you can take to learn how to blow glass. I have a beautiful fish on my mantle to remember my trip here.

Where else can you blow glass and make your own keepsakes?! More than worth the money, you can make your own souvenirs and have fun doing it! Amanda was great as she took us back and helped us create our pumpkin and Christmas ornament. The process to arrange shipping was effortless. Make your reservations early! In a town with many...
