great place for a walk

One of the joys of summer is a walk through the marina and down on to the naval park and canalside. With a breeze off the lake it's glorious.

Love the walk along the waterfront to the tower. 85 steps up for great sunset views. There's an ice cream shop (pricey), casual dining, semiformal dining, two outside bars on the water. Plenty of sights on the water. Bring a stadium chair, park and watch the sunset or walk/bike/jog along the path. Convenient location not far from I-90 exit. Just... More

We were there on a beautiful summer evening. The parking was bad, so be prepared to walk. Very crowded. We had our boat docked there in the 80's. Very happy we no longer have our boat! Way too crowded and conjested for me.

Nice place to lie back and hang out and perhaps grab a bite to eat at the food courts and maybe take a boat ride as well.

If you haven't been to Buffalo, or haven't been there in the past 5 years, you really won't believe the renaissance that is going on there. I was there first in 1985 as a college freshman. The people are more than enough reason to go there, but at that time, it was depressed and just a shell of its former... More

A nice place to take a walk along the Lake Erie shore. Great views of downtown Buffalo . Lovely rose gardens. Mediocre fast food restaurant if you get hungry. Better off bringing your own food. Ice cream stand. Otherwise poorly developed has little else to do there.

This is a wonderful place to visit during the summer months, you can purchase food of the usual summertime fare. The ice cream is exceptional. The only con is nothing is open during the winter, not even the rest rooms. Given the large rise in attendance from Canal Side the fact that the Erie Basin Marina is not operated in... More

Enjoyed our visit and tour of the marina. It was a splendid walk along the dock up to the lighthouse style observation deck.

There is something about having bone marrow as a side! The restaurant is located right on the water. Water side tables only accommodate 2; however, the view is there for EVERY table. Raw scallops, tuna tortillini, et al is just not my forte! Had one of their very thin crust pizzas and it was great.
