I had been wanting to do this for 2 summers then when Covid hit you couldn't do it obviously so I waited and booked when it was available. Norm was very nice explained things on the phone so you were aware how things worked what was expected and what you should wear etc. Our tour route was a bit different as we were told because of the construction near the art gallery which was fine as we wouldn't have known any better as we had never done before.
Couple things that were a bit much is the training there was only 4 of us and training was almost an hour (I can't imagine how long it is if the group has 10 scheduled). I get the fact they are his machines but we learned everything about how they were made etc which wasn't necessary in my opinion, people do this activity to ride not to sit and have training for an hour.
When we got started it was fun and we enjoyed learning what he was telling us about parts of Buffalo and the history of the World's Fair in Buffalo plus some of the streets you ride down the homes and architecture was incredible, the ride was nice had a good breeze, just the flowers by Hoyt lake were not in full bloom yet but when they are I bet it's really pretty. It was also nice that there was only us and another couple so it was a smaller group which was nice as we weren't constantly waiting for people to catch up. We rode for quite some time and Norm was going to take us thru Delaware Park however the other couple had tickets to go to another attraction as they were from Ohio, so we headed back without doing the park which was fine. We did enjoy the tour, it's a 1 and done thing once you have done you probably wouldn't go again.
The other thing I didn't like was I wanted to pay for 1 rider on my CC card and the other rider on a Visa gift card I had, well Norm did let me do it however he made me pay an extra $5.00 to pay on 2 different CC cards, I had to pay the fee they pay for using CC cards. I thought that was kinda weird, you own the business so did you want $250 sale or me to say no over a $5 charge. He told me if he does that all the time $5, then $5 and $5 again adds up to loss for him......I am sure not many people ask to pay on 2 CC cards !!! I did pay it as I wanted to do this activity. It is pricey $125 per rider but it is what it is.
You are also given 2 passes to go into the history museum for the day if you so choose to do so and Norm and his wife gave you bottles of water along the route. His wife has a mircraphone and head piece attached to her hip and she gives you directions along the way, however it was very hard to hear her unless you were the person right behind her riding.

Tour is fantastic, you have to do this! Today was our second time with Buffalo Touring Company and we brought some friends with us this time! Norm is an excellent teacher, we all felt very comfortable riding the Segway after his training session. Great fun, riding Segways around sections of the city with Norm and his wife Cheryl, who are wonderful and made the day very enjoyable. Norm shared great stories about the history of Buffalo along the ride. Thanks for an excellent day!

My wife and I were in Buffalo for a few days while she attended a business conference. Leading up to the trip, we communicated with Norm a few times to get the Segway tour lined up. Upon arrival to the museum, we met Norm who took us through a thorough training on how to use and operate the Segway. Once completely comfortable, we started our tour. Norm took his time in explaining many interesting facts about Buffalo. His knowledge of the area was amazing. The tour was fun and entertaining. Norm was genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Buffalo area. Norm…thanks for a great day, you were AWESOME!!

My brother and I recently made a trip to Buffalo for a Bills NFL game. We scheduled time to tour Niagara Falls and other sites in the area. We wanted to do something fun that we hadn't done before, so we signed up for the Buffalo Segway tour. Our guide - Norm - gave us lots of time to learn how to ride a Segway safely before heading out on the tour. He even seemed to go above and beyond with extra time and highlights. His knowledge of the town and its history made the experience much more enjoyable and rewarding. Well worth the time and money.

Norm gives absolutely, hands down the BEST tour! This is a must do for anyone visiting Buffalo, and honestly for anyone who lives nearby! Norm clearly loves his job and his city. This is truly a tour for EVERYONE. After teaching us how to ride a segway, Norm gave us ample time to practice riding the segway in the parking lot until we really felt comfortable heading out on the tour (it was fun to have time to just play a little and get comfortable). The tour itself was SO fascinating, Norm knows everything about this historic city! Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Buffalo Touring Company next time you head out to see Niagara Falls. You might find, like we did, that it was the best part of your vacay!

Norm made our tour very interesting and educational. We have been lucky enough to have taken Segway tours in wonderful locations like Washington DC and San Francisco. So when we booked a tour of Buffalo our expectations were not as high, imagine our surprise when the tour totally exceeded all our expectations. I can not recommend Norm and Buffalo Touring Company highly enough. I would go so far as to say this tour is a MUST on your visit to Buffalo, NY.

This was a fabulous tour and Norm is awesome. Norm's training was fun and thorough which really allowed us to feel confident on the segway and have a great time out on the road. His knowledge of the history surrounding the area of the tour was extensive and captivating which made it even more interesting and enjoyable. We have been to Buffalo a few times and this is a must do - one of the most fun days we've have ever had. Quinn says... 'Norm knocked her socks off!"

We had a wonderful tour with Norm! He shared extensive history of the area which was fascinating. Our 3+ hour tour of this beautiful area included Delaware Park, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the History Museum, the Richardson Asylum , many beautiful mansions and even a little known Frank Lloyd Wright house!

Segway touring is for those tired of all the bus/walking tours. The tour takes about 3 hours and includes 1/2 hour of learning/practicing on the Segway. The fun of zipping around on the Segway combined with fun/interesting facts about Buffalo from the experienced/nice owners should not be missed. Must be 16 & up.
