BROADWAY MARKET!!!!!
Mar 2021
I thought maybe the Broadway Market would be somewhat less than it was in other years due to COVID, but it wasn't. It seemed pretty much the same, with live music, lots of vendors, lots of color and great food. I enjoyed the potato pancakes from Babcia's and a couple of great pastries from a bakery.

Sad

The market continues to disappoint. Now in Covid world the number of vendors are down to around 10. The place is dirty and it stinks. Sad!

Once was and could still be a fabulous market
Dec 2019
Always hoping for a resurgence of this once glorious market... if more people would go on a regular basis, more vendors would open. I traditionally go Christmas and Easter, but randomly stop in as the meats at Petar Lupus are still the best imho. Beer and regular horseradish is best you can find locally also. Had a delicious breakfast inside - fresh ingredients and made with love! The management should take a trip to the Philadelphia market and take some lessons....

It's Not My Parents 'Broadway Market'.
Apr 2019
When I was younger, a trip to the Broadway Market was something special. There was nothing that came close. Every east-side meat packer had a presence inside; Wardynski, Malecki, Xavier, Redlinski, Szelagowski. The fish vendor was situated behind a glass wall to keep the odors contained. Every local bakery, too; Burzynski, Cohen, White Eagle. Dry goods. Produce. And, yes, CANDY! (Every trip ended with a purchase of a new PEZ dispenser, too.)
But, then, when I think back, the Market was part of a sphere of retailers; Sattler's, Kobacker's, Victor's. But, they've all disappeared. You know times changed when even a KMart couldn't make a go of it.
Gone, too, are the days when the entire covered "garage" area was filled with local farmer's on a Saturday morning, including the live chicken vendor.
When the residents and City leaders turn away from and ignore the Market, the expectation that tourists need to stop there is unrealistic.
I feel sorry for those who have remained loyal tennants, as their only profitable seasons are Easter and Christmas.
With all this said, it is STILL, and will remain to be, THE PLACE TO GO to prepare of your Święconka.

Be Sure to Stop there at Easter time!
Apr 2019
I love to visit the Broadway Market especially during Lent/Easter. That's when I think it's at it's best as far as the specialty food (Polish) & gifts are concerned. The hand-painted Russian stacking dolls sets and wooden easter eggs are beautiful, I always buy some to add to my collection or give as gifts. The candy--not your ordinary pre-packaged candy, but the real deal--is delicious...like their sponge candy, and the Charlie Chaplain is an old time hard to find favorite...so rich & yummy..highly recommend you try some. Then there are the Polish baked goods-all very good, and much much more. Go early! It gets packed very fast. Take a break at the food counter where breakfast is served on the cheap, and then don't forget a stop at several of the meat counters for fresh great cuts.

This was a wonderful place to visit before Easter. Lots of Polish sausage and other food, candy, flowers, seafood, baked goods and painted Easter eggs. It was terrific.

Getting in the Easter spirit!
Apr 2019 • Couples
We spent a few hours at the Broadway Market on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter. They had a Polish band playing with singing and an accordian. We bought tons of Easter candy. You can get every flavor and shape of chocolate you want, even a bulldog, ballet dancer, and a buffalo, oh course. We tried various nice perogies...Got different flavored jelly beans...Bought pussy willows for my mom and hand painted eggs for my grandchildren...There were lots of good looking sausages and bulb plants but we could not transport them. It was a tastey, colorful, fun way to get in the Easter spirit!

Not like it was, but still good for several items
Apr 2019 • Family
I grew up nearby, and my parents shopped for meat fish, cheese, bread & rolls, placek (Polish coffee cake), poppy seed pastry, horseradish, produce. It was a thriving place. On my visit this time I came for old times sake, knowing it was much diminished. I did buy smoked polish sausage and other items to bring home. The neighborhood is no longer thriving, but it was still a good stop.

At least once.......
Mar 2019 • Family
The Buffalo Broadway Market is a place to visit for Easter and Dingus Day. It is of mostly Polish traditions. They sell chocolate, bakery, meats, flowers, and Polish merchandise. There is plenty of parking. It does NOT take long to traverse. You can also eat there as well. It is a hilight of the area. It does not look like much from the outside and the neighborhood but a great place to go at the holidays. We go every Easter, usually on Good Friday.

Saturday trip
Dec 2018 • Couples
Went for the first time with the wife Saturday Dec 1st. We had recently been to the westside market in Cleveland and had a great time , decided we would try the Broadway Market. What a mistake no where near the quality of the westside market, no vendors nothing really to see or eat. On top of everything the neighborhood is very rundown nothing around the market but boarded up homes and businesses. Take the time and drive to Cleveland for an outstanding market
