On their doors they say, "No school students allowed durring school hours;" however, when you go in before 4:00 PM they ask you your age. I was 18 when I tried to enter at 3:15 PM, they asked me my age and I told them, they then asked me to leave, I asked why and they responded with you have to be 19 to be in the mall before 4:00 PM. I mentioned that the sign said students, and that I had graduated school they previous year. they said the policy was you had to be 19, I mentioned that the sign didn't say that, and they such a policy would have to be clearly placed in full view by law. I then asked them to show me in writing where it said that you had to be 19, and was told by the supervisor of security that he would show me. When we got to his office he told me I was banned from entery into the mall from that point forward, and that if I wasn't out in 30 seconds he would have me arrested for trespassing, as well as saying he wasn't obligated to show me anything. I would suggest noone go to this mall, as there are many other good malls within a few miles that are far better.

You can get a decent lunch in the Greenhouse Food Court. Chicken Wings and at Louie's the best Shalen Hot Dogs cooked over an open flame. The only clothing stores are cheap and tacky. One junk store, one dollar store, a Buffalo souvenier store and a place to buy lottery tickets. Yeah, I call that a real shopping destination. Oh, and the only time it's busy is between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 when all the downtown workers are there. You won't feel very safe there anyother time of the day. If you are in Buffalo just go to the Walden Galleria instead.

Typifies business in NYS: crushed, depressed, fleeting and soon to be gone.

Sad tragic reflection of a destroyed and forgotten "mall".

Unbelievable it is still open.

An embarrassment

The reviews are right about this mall, it's NOT your typical suburban mall with the Gap and Pottery Barn. However, this is the place where you can go to pick up your Buffalo related souvenirs and gifts. The shop is located on the Main Street side of the mall, somewhere in the middle. Also, there is a locally owned coffee shop where they roast their own coffee beans. It is located on the Main Street side near the subway stop.

During the growing season (May through October, I think), a wonderful farmer's market takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from morning until around 1:30 or 2:00. They sell everything from produce, fresh flowers and plants, to baked goods, meats and cheeses. I highly recommend the fresh popped kettle corn, too!

There's nothing here. I wouldn't really consider this a "mall". With eight shops open, they have a dollar store, GNC, optical store, Lotto store, Payless, a clothing spot and a surprisingly excellent coffee joint and pizzeria. There's also a food court in the back but that only has three options....

What Mall? It's an empty shell with zombie like characters hanging in and around it. I was staying down the street and seen a map that a mall was within walking distance. After walking around and not seeing any type of signage to signal a 'mall' was here, I had to ask a stranger where this mall was. I ended up in an abandoned building with only a dollar store inside. What a waist.

I was downtown for jury duty, and on lunch I went to the mall. I haven't been there for a few years, but where did it go? There is nothing but a food court. I saw another business close it's door for business on the main floor and now that leaves a bank and some shoe stores. Why has the city let it get this way. I saw more security than people walking to the court for lunch. I felt like I was in a war zone. Everything gone and no one to pick up the pieces. It's a shame that the inner city can't make this mall thrive with all the people that are downtown in any given day for night. We NEED to bring this mall back for all our sakes. Can't we come up with someting for prime real estate?

The only reason this "mall" is still operating is the food court is always packed from people who work downtown and I believe WNY's internet backbone passes through it, thus it allegedly is a home to server farms (which I have just heard of, never actually seen). There is nothing here. A pizza parlor, a GNC, Footlocker, and a dollar store or two. I am there daily because I work in City Hall. Seriously. This is not a mall. This is a decent place to eat. Nothing else.

Definitely not worth the trip. Retro 1960's work inside and out, empty stores, nothing on the second floor, but a food court. First floor has about 3 stores-Walden Books, Foot Locker and a junk store (cheap greeting cards and sodas). Most of half the place is a blank wall and it's entire second floor is also blocked with a blank white painted wall. No signs on the outside, you have to ask where the mall is even when your right in front of it. No window displays on the outside or anything to inditake that building is even open. The area around it just screams 1970's, closed off traffic and some bums with bold attitudes just walk up to you and almost demand money.
Overall, this Mall and it's surrounding area is very depressing, and not worth it.

There aren't many stores to choose from and the clothes seem stale. I ended up going to Amherst to shop. That mall is not as much of a mall as it is a bridge or path for commuters in Buffalo.
