About
Buffalo's story is about more than snow, and rust and chicken wings. At No Illusions Tours we are here to provide a glimpse into our city's larger story through the lives and events not often discussed. Our tour shed light on the story of Buffalo through 5 different walking tours of various lengths and in different areas of the city. These include, Buffalo's Favorite Daughters (3 separate tours), Buffalo Lit and Buffalo Annomalies (held in the fall). Our season runs from May- October.

It was very well presented by Maria, who had facts and images down to perfection. I thought the tour started too late, though. Once the sun goes down in October it is too cold to be fun. I was actually hoping that the tour would be amended to end earlier.

We did the Buffalo Anomalies tour and it was fantastic! So well-researched and well-delivered. It was fun being a tourist in my city and learning about Buffalo's storied history. Maria was also excellent to deal with! The tour we wanted was originally full but she very graciously opened up spots for my friends and I to join which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!

After moving away from Buffalo in my early 20's, I realized I took so much of this amazing city for granted. The No Illusion's tours are the perfect way to reconnect with a place I love. Maria's research is impeccable and her passion for the region obvious. We have enjoyed her anomolies and lit tours. Looking forward to more in the future.

I have taken two tours with this group and would recommend any one they offer. A very fun way to learn about Buffalo's history. No Illusions cares deeply about telling telling stories that should be heard. Anyone should take their tours, first time visitors and long time Buffalo residents.

I did the Buffalo Lit tour with my Bookclub. What a fabulous tour! It was fun and informative. Our guide Maria really knows her stuff, and knows how to present information in a very fun, engaging manner. I now want to take every single tour she offers!

i booked the Women in Buffalo history tour for my two daughters and granddaughter-
i thought i knew a lot about Buffalo but I learned a great deal -especially women’s ground breaking roles in history. It was an excellent and fun learning experience as we walked to significant stops along the way in downtown Buffalo.
Maria really knows Buffslo history and makes it interesting ! Highly recommend!

The Buffalo’s Favorite Daughters tour at Forest Lawn was amazing! Such a great way to spend a Saturday morning, walking the beautiful grounds at Forest Lawn and listening to Maria’s enjoyable commentary. Highly recommend!

We took the E bike tour of downtown Buffalo which was very enjoyable and informative. Marie was very professional and did a great job. Her knowledge of the downtown area and its history was exceptional. Would highly recommend the tour!

The Anomalies Tour given by Maria Blair this past weekend did not fail to impress with historical stories, local gore, and humor. Maria is a charming tour guide that makes the city come alive from the past to the present in a fun manner. This fully booked tour was clearly enjoyed by all, and is recommended to locals and out of towners.

My boyfriend and I attended the Buffalo Anomalies tour with some friends on Halloween weekend, and we couldn't have had a better time! The walk took us to interesting spots around downtown Buffalo where we learned city history we'd never heard before. Our guide, Maria, was so personable, knowledgeable, and eloquent in presenting her tour. You could tell Maria has a great passion for this, and I'd recommend a tour with No Illusions anytime!
