This home is a must-see. It's beautifully furnished and the docents are excellent so don't hesitate to take the self-guided tour.

We had a great self-guided tour. The docents are very helpful and knowledgeable! The restoration is great! While another reviewer mentioned that you can’t tell what is original to what is restored - that’s the point! This home sat EMPTY for many years, after many original fixtures (the beautiful windows) were sold off. It’s definitely worth a visit! Seeing the stained-glass with sunlight shining is simply breathtaking!

First I was very excited to see another Frank Lloyd Wright design...and then I saw a small portion of the homes 1st floor ...the guides had no idea what was original or a replica...and worst said that it was on purpose by the folks that run the place...my guess based on what I saw a great deal was not the original...touch the windows and you’ll know what I mean...if you want to see more get ready to pay a lot more...been to many homes connected with Wright that I thoroughly enjoyed and were memorable...this home was not one of them...I generously give this a fair rating...by the way picture taking is not allowed in the home...no great loss...

I'm very disappointed to read about your experience at the Martin House. It is very unusual for us to not be able to meet and exceed visitor expectations. It sounds like you participated in a self-guided tour, which does allow you to explore the first floor of the main house, the pergola and the conservatory. The "guides" you interacted with are volunteers and certified docents. While they should be able to answer most questions, there are times when each one of us is a little stumped. If you like, please email me at sbadgley@martinhouse.org. I would be happy to answer any remaining questions you have about the furnishings. art glass, restoration, or more. I hope we can welcome you again for a tour experience so you can leave with a better memory of our estate.

No self-respecting FLW fan should ever bypass this home. It stands as one of his greatest accomplishments. We had a private one-hour tour which I highly recommend. Our guide (I'm sorry to have forgotten his name) was awesome, as were the staff in general. I really believe they feel privileged to work at this masterpiece of architecture. The tour ends at the gift shop which we managed to do some of our holiday shopping in.

The martin house is a must seen even if you are not focused on architecture . It gives a good example of that giant`s work. We also saw the ceramics exhibition outside which was a pearl on its own right.
