If you are an avid golfer (no matter what your handicap is, you will enjoy playing this golf course. The practice range is excellent, with excellent golf balls. The course is beautifully designed and in great condition. The back nine (particularly holes 13 to 16) is cut into the hilly terrain of the badlands, with amazing elevated view of the... More

My husband and I traveled with another couple to take on this beautiful but slightly frustrating course. The other three had golfed it before but this was my first visit. I am just a casual golfer but golf most every weekend at our local course. The first 9 is on the flat land but as you progress into the next... More

I thoroughly enjoyed Bully Pulpit. Our foursome played 18 holes in about 4 hours. The pace was good, and the staff were friendly. I also didn't feel that the green fees were exorbitant for this type of course. The course was in good shape and the views of the front and back nine can both be appreciated. Due to the... More

Pretty golf course that looks tough to play @ also pretty expensive, but they have some packages. We only stopped & looked at it out of curiosity & worth the stop. We didn’t eat here, but several folks were dining outdoors. Hubby would like to play the course & I would like to tag along, but not sure if they... More

We arrived paid our fees, loaded our clubs and headed for the first tee, when we got there we were informed it was cart path only and being particularly disabled that was not going to work so back to the clubhouse at which time we were given a hdcp flag back to the tee on the third hole we were informed that... Don't get me wrong it is a very nice course, especially that last 5 holes. The scenery is great. It is a bot spendy but we have always wanted to play the course so it was worth it for us.

If you are a beginner golfer, I would recommend this not be your first tough course to play. Don't get me wrong, it was a great course, but I would think a new golfer would be very discouraged. And I agree, not enough Badland holes. The hype outweighed the course, especially for the price. We'd played The Links for two... More

Only 3 holes in the badlands, the rest are on the floodplain of the adjacent river. Both Red Mike (East of Williston) and Hawktree (North of Bismarck) are better courses. If you're going to make a badlands course, put the entire 18 holes in the badlands. And it it is enviromentally sensitive to not go into the badlands, why build... More

First, this a very good golf course!!! Front nine in the valley and by the river. A couple of holes are hard to figure routing without yardage book, but manageable. Biggest snake I have ever seen crossing the green, we waited. Back side is a mixture of valley and some of the best mountain holes I have ever seen. Really... More

I am a big fan of golf course architecture. I love how a designer can take a piece of raw land and turn it into a course. Bully Pulpit has a few really unique holes. But personally its over hyped and I would not make a special trip to play. In North Dakota I would play Links of ND or... More
