We love to camp and hike all around this area and forage for wild mushrooms around mount Humphries, but this was our first time staying at the Nordic center. The facilities are very clean, pets are allowed, wood waiting at the tiny awesome cabin (only $5 a crate). Firepit outside, gas grill, wood burning stove inside that made it roasty!... More

Went north to escape the heat and was not disappointed. We stayed in a yurt. No electric and it had a clear bubble on the top so you could see the stars from inside. Very basic but that is what we were looking for. Great way to unplug and re-energize!

There are many things that this place is doing correctly. They have cabins, yurts and areas for tents. We stayed in a yurt and took one dog. We paid $85.00 for one night without paying for any of the extra items you can purchase (If you want firewood, water or a shower you will pay extra for each thing. For... More

We stayed overnight in one of the front country yurts after a day of xc skiing which was a mixture of hot and cold as we tried to conquer the wood stoves. Very peaceful and a great experience. We hired sleeping bags from Peace surplus in flagstaff. We hired the fat bikes in the afternoon and had a great time... More

Great place to spend the day. Wonderfully groomed cross-country skiing here. Beautiful views, and a horizon-to-horizon night-time starry sky. Great cabins here, and neat little yurts as well. I would highly recommend, and would return.

My bf and I went to Flagstaff with the intention to try cross country skiing and we were not disappointed! Including the trail pass and ski equipment rental, the 2 of us paid about $80 for a day of skiing. The trails were well marked and well-maintained with specific trails reserved just for cross-country skiiers (no snowshoes). Some of the... More

Bring your own linens or sleeping bags. Bring an ice-chest with your food/drinks. Other than that, they provide firewood, gas grill and basics you need. Have to pay extra for the shower at the main building. A bit of a walk late at night if someone in your group need to use the restroom/porta-potties Nice easy hikes/ Didnt stay to... More

We rented a yurt right behind the Nordic Center Lodge on this trip, it was very convenient, as we could pull our car right up to it and unload, the center/lodge itself appears to be unoccupied, at least on the wekend. When booking on line, you are given an option to purchase a shower, firewood, and some other things, we... More

This is a great place to visit when there is not enough snow on the slopes. Cross country skiing is my thing, anyway. Beautiful scenery.

We took the whole family (3 kids) to snow shoe and cross country ski. The kids had a great time cross country skiing for the first time. There were lots of well groomed trails. The color coded map was easy to follow. Can't wait for the snow to be better.

Thank Ann B
