It was a blast! The trails were well groomed and though it was a busy day we were able to have the trail "to ourselves" most of the time.

Had a fabulous stay in one of the backcountry Yurts! A mile and half snowshoeing to an isolated yurt in a winter wonderland. The wood stove kept us warm and toasty, and the view of the stars from inside the yurt was amazing. The trails are very well groomed. We've skied and snowshoed on the trails and both ate very... This is great place to do Nordic skiing. It's dog friendly except for the entrance. An employer brings her dog and tells dog owners to keep their dogs outside because her dog is freaked out about other dogs. So out of the door goes your dog. And if you are a lone skier paranoia and worry sets I in soon,... More

We had never gone snowshoeing before so decided to try it. So glad we did ! You can rent snowshoes and poles at the Nordic Center as well as back country skis. The trails are very nice and plentiful. They give you a map showing you the routes and degree of difficulty. We spent two hours snowshoeing on our first... More

We love to camp and hike all around this area and forage for wild mushrooms around mount Humphries, but this was our first time staying at the Nordic center. The facilities are very clean, pets are allowed, wood waiting at the tiny awesome cabin (only $5 a crate). Firepit outside, gas grill, wood burning stove inside that made it roasty!... More

Went north to escape the heat and was not disappointed. We stayed in a yurt. No electric and it had a clear bubble on the top so you could see the stars from inside. Very basic but that is what we were looking for. Great way to unplug and re-energize!

There are many things that this place is doing correctly. They have cabins, yurts and areas for tents. We stayed in a yurt and took one dog. We paid $85.00 for one night without paying for any of the extra items you can purchase (If you want firewood, water or a shower you will pay extra for each thing. For... More

We stayed overnight in one of the front country yurts after a day of xc skiing which was a mixture of hot and cold as we tried to conquer the wood stoves. Very peaceful and a great experience. We hired sleeping bags from Peace surplus in flagstaff. We hired the fat bikes in the afternoon and had a great time... More

Great place to spend the day. Wonderfully groomed cross-country skiing here. Beautiful views, and a horizon-to-horizon night-time starry sky. Great cabins here, and neat little yurts as well. I would highly recommend, and would return.

My bf and I went to Flagstaff with the intention to try cross country skiing and we were not disappointed! Including the trail pass and ski equipment rental, the 2 of us paid about $80 for a day of skiing. The trails were well marked and well-maintained with specific trails reserved just for cross-country skiiers (no snowshoes). Some of the... More
