Great playground close to downtown Flagstaff. Lots of stuff to do, good quality playground. We went there almost every day with our 2yo and 5yo while on vaction in Flagstaff. A bit of a shame that the only restroom facility is a smelly port-a-potty, but at least it's there.

My dogs and I drove up from Phoenix to spend a day in the snow. This park was recommended by a good friend who lives in the Flagstaff area. The park is large with several huge open baseball, soccer, football fields that made for an incredible snow playground for both me and the dogs. Highly recommend you visit this park, it's free!

They have a great doggie park, disc golf, soccer fields, base ball, tennis& handball courts and a great view. We go there all the time. The park is kept real nice but remember this is not in the country club. Great play ground for the kids, and to picnic for lunch. The park in next to Lowell Observatory walk over it's cool!

Who could ask for more- lots of equipment, good trees to climb and fantastic views. Don't miss it if you need something fun and free to do in Flag!

Located a few blocks from downtown (W of the library, at the foot of the hill to Lowell Observatory), this park is just off the route to the Grand Canyon. It has playground equipment for both younger and older children, tables for picnic meals, and portapotties.

If you are looking for a hike check out the Flagstaff Urban Trail system at http://flagstaff.az.gov/index.aspx?NID=1763.

The Mars Hill Trail meets the Karen Cooper Trail (Rio North Trail) at Thorpe Park. The Mars Hill Trail runs west from Thorpe Park, climbing Mars Hill and ending where the Tunnel Springs Trail begins. The trail climbs through a steep draw (not too steep for this grandmother) amid an open pine forest. The trail crosses land owned by the Lowell Observatory. Once on top of the hill, you can go back down to the parking lot or pick up the Tunnel Springs Trail or other trails and forest roads leading to Observatory Mesa.

Thorpe park is located just a short drive from old town Flag. On the west side of town. This is a big city park with all the activities a big park should have. Ample parking. Picnic tables, and hiking/walking trails shooting off of the park. But make a careful note of where you park. I got lost after hiking and it took a hour for me to find my car in an ugly storm.

So we went on weekend and we bought our ticket in the park so we can get the 2for1, not worth it! you have to take atleast 30mins in the line with other people who wants the 2for1 ticket. We went early but the line is already long! The park is really old and rusty now. Only 5 rides available for child under 100m and two of that rides has 90mins waiting. The small beach for kids is very very small and the slides are all closed when we went.

This place is only good for adults and book the ticket in advance because the 2for1 ticket is £55 when you can buy 2 ticket online for £65.
If your really hungry try the Pizza and pasta buffe for only £12.99 including drinks.

Heads up if you are taking the thorpe park Bus/shuttle you have to pay £3.60 and the the £2 locker? you need to pay £2 everytime you open your locker.

Had some time to kill before attending the North Pole Experience and my grandsons (6 and 3 yrs) needed to burn energy. We stopped here and they loved the climbing ropes and wall. Unique 4 person teeter totter. Different equipment which they enjoyed.

Visiting the area and searched for a dog run to exercise my little buddy. We found Thorpe Park and were impressed by the size, cleanliness and easy access. The park was not terribly crowded, the owners well behaved (it's never a dog problem), and the park was very clean!
