l always wanted to go climbing, but don’t know where to start? Bennett is a PRO. In one lesson, I learned the basic climbing styles, techniques, and jargon. He helps remove some of the mystery, helps you figure out which disciplines you’d like to try, and makes it easier for you to get started. He is an expert at both Indoor and outdoor climbing as both have many of the same gear requirements and both types of climbing utilize many of the same skills.

I just had to drop in to let you know about the adventure Bennett led us on. Knowledge, confidence, positivity, joyful and all around awesome. He had extra gear in case anyone forgot to grab something on the way out, even providing drinks and snacks. The guide led us up to the crag, showed us how he was setting up the anchors and made sure we were comfortable with the climb. Bennett is the bomb, and you need to climb with him! We will be back.

Bennett was one of the nicest and most personable people I have met. He was very knowledgeable about the area and really made it feel like an adventure. He went out of his way to provide food and drinks for my Dad and I, which is something that no guide is required to do. He drove 12-14 hours to meet us so that we would climb in the area we wanted. He was so encouraging after every climb and it made me feel like a king. He made sure to cater to my level of climbing, to make sure it was fun and challenging. I couldn’t have possibly hoped for a better experience than I had. If I’m in he area again I will definitely ask for his guiding again.

We had an amazing day climbing with Kokopelli in Oak Creek, Arizona. This was our second time climbing outdoors, although we climb indoors frequently, and we learned so much from Bennett. He taught us many different knots, practiced rappelling techniques, and gave great safety tips all throughout the day. He is also very patient and doesn't pressure you at all while you climb. Climbing outside is so different, and we enjoyed the whole day. We brought a 14 year old, who has minimal indoor climbing experience and he did better than me! Bennett even brought us sandwiches, snacks and Kombucha. We have our own gear (however he also brought everything that we could have needed including helmets, climbing shoes, harnesses, etc). We will certainly climb with him again when we are in Arizona/Colorado. He travels the area so check in with him if you have a place in mind you want to climb near.

The guides were very fun, knowledgeable, and experienced. We climbed a challenging rock face all to ourselves and had a great experience. Highly recommend these guys!
