Even at a Senior rate this cost 16$ . Given that our last great museum in Albuquerque was 2$ and the National Nuclear Museum is also cheaper with better exhibits this seems a great rip off. It's a hole , albeit interesting, in the ground....More

Totally enjoyed this visit! My husband saw it many years ago & had doubts that I would like it-- but we enjoyed the museum and the crater is amazing. The museum has a lot of info about meteors & the training by Apollo astronaut that...More

This is privately owned, not government-owned as at least one reviewer thinks, and they have clearly thought about how to enhance looking at the Crater and they succeeded. Yes, $18 is a little steep but they've added a very nice museum (I dragged my dad...More

We spent about an hour, but didn't go on the guided tour. The crater was amazing to see and a good stop to enjoy.

So got to the Meteor late in the day and while I am sure you can take hours to look around, the short time we stayed was adequate. Very cool to see but pricey at $18.00 per adult.

We spent about 3 hrs total there. Short video gives just a little history. However, the interactive exhibits around the building give more information and videos. Young children can do interactive easily. Guided tour is for the more adventurous. Upper and lower observatory towers challenge...More

We hadn't planned to stop here, but are glad we did. a 50K year old meteor crater, the size of which is difficult to grab in a picture...very impressive. They offer a one hour tour all around the rim, and an observation deck to climb...More

A big hole in the ground, worth seeing to understand the magnitude of the impact. Unfortunately way overpriced, at $18 a head, and poorly run. Two of the staff were lolling around at the entrance saying hi to people as they came in but only...More

We stopped here on our road trip from Sedona to Petrified Forest NP. Ideally, this was intended for my 7 yr old daughter so she can learn something new and tell something to her classmates back home, but we end up thoroughly enjoying the whole...More

This was my second stop after Hoover Dam on a road trip out of Vegas (I can share my itinerary if you want) The interpretive centre is first class, the set up and access caters for all abilities. I noted some negative commentary around pricing....More

I did not see any wheelchairs for rental and not to sure about accessibility. The tour can not be done with a wheelchair as it goes out along the rim and is a dirt patch only.

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not permit our guests to hike down to the bottom of the Crater, primarily for safety reasons. Also, scientific research is being conducted inside the Crater on a year-round basis. There... More
