Arizona Raft Adventures is a family run business operating 6-16 day rafting trips, as a licensed rafting tour operator within Grand Canyon National Park since 1974. Our adventures are both motorized and non-motorized (paddle or oar rafts). We believe that a trip down the mighty Colorado River, through the Grand Canyon is the trip of a lifetime, composed not only of exciting whitewater and world class scenery, but also lots of exploring and hiking in the many wondrous side canyons. Our adventures provide the time to experience it all, so come play with us in Grand Canyon!

I had a great time on the rafting trip. Did the 8 day motor trip so I could see the whole stretch of the canyon. 226 miles. There was more hiking than I expected. In my midwestern opinion it was hard hiking- but it’s just not what I’m used to it. Scenery can’t be beat. And being in the canyon was awe inspiring. I recommend this trip- even for solo women travelers like myself.

I attended a 10 day Colorado River trip with AZRA in conjunction with Visionary Wild for a special Photography Tour. AZRA has run this so many times it looks easy for them even though it's a lot of work for the guides. I felt very safe and they had good COVID plans in place. Excellent information on the river and geography as we travelled. We had a few very early days that the photography guides set up & the raft guides jumped in to make it happen for us. Great food and a wide variety. Interesting lunches of 'handheld' tortilla or sandwiches to save on washing plates. It was an exhilarating adventure. We did get wet a few times on some of the rapids. We hiked a lot and climbed over many boulders to find that perfect photo spot. AZRA supplied the camp gear & we mostly found a sandy spot for our sleeping bag. Really well run adventure that I would love to do again.

This trip was planned through Wilderness River Outfitters along with AZRA. Yes, I pinch myself daily. Did I really get to experience a 226 mile trip down the Colorada River through the Grand Canyon? Weather, rafts, guides, participants together made the perfect trip. My 3 fears before leaving were: drowning, not having food with plenty of fruits and vegetables and sleeping. Well, obviously I did not drown. I think we (17 guests) were amazed how well the guides knew the river and took every precaution to make sure were were safe...be it rafting, paddling, or on hikes into the canyon. The food was amazing. We had fresh foods and vegetables each day. The guides were terrific cooks. As to sleeping, we were provided individual tents, but all chose to sleep under the stars. The guides were awesome educators about the canyon which made it all the more interesting. Evenings we would socialize. The guides provided us with stories and often music. Amazing is what I would call the whole experience. COVID prevention measures were implemented. Kuddos to Wilderness River Outfitters and Arizona Raft Adventures....Can't wait for another river adventure Joyce Campbell, Chattanooga Tennessee Trip: Sept 18 through Oct 2, 2020

Joyce thanks so much for your review. Sorry we somehow missed this review after you posted it. We are very happy to hear how much you enjoyed your guides, AzRA's safety measures and the fresh food on your Classic Adventure last September. We agree seeing the stars at night is a big bonus on a canyon trip! We hope we see you again on the river one day!

A 15 day 226 mile guided raft trip on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Excellent guides, superb food, and a spectacular location. The guides were very competent at navigating the big rapids on the river. They also knew about the history and geology of the canyon. We hiked to beautiful locations along the canyon. This was a trip of a lifetim.
