I've been here a handful of times through the years. On my most recent visit, I took my two children. We started on the trailhead off Thompson Lane. Walked to the Stones River Battlefield and then back up the Greenway a little over a mile. The pathway was clean. Several people were out that day and were friendly. Quite a... More

We live nearby so it's not a big deal to go. We love the water and walking trails. Not real keen on people bringing their dogs to poo there, although most clean it up.

Bring my granddaughter here to play and then we walk the greenway. While it is all paved it is still a great stroll and plenty of wildlife and critters to watch for.

The Greenway along the Stones River can be an exciting place to visit especially during the months of May or early June which is when my wife and I enjoy it the most. The smell of Honey Suckle is in the air and the young ducks or hatching. If you watch closely, you will see Mother turtles crossing the Greenway,... More

There are many different Trailheads to enter the Murfreesboro Greenway. All of them can be used for walking, jogging, enjoying the scenery, or checking out historic locations. Some of them also have restrooms (Cason Lane and General Bragg on College St.). Both these locations have kids playgrounds, too. There are picnic tables here to use, or set up a blanket... More

There are several trailheads from which to enter the greenway. Be careful in the winter time, there are many shaded areas that can be slippery due to ice or wet leaves. My favorite entrances are Cason Lane, Thompson Lane or General Bragg. It's a great place to run, walk or bike. If you have a dog, there is a dog... More

This is a good place to walk, run, or go for a bike ride. There are restrooms and multiple picnic pavilions. Attatched to the restrooms is a pump to air up your bicycle tires and a water fountain. The river is very low right now due to the drought, but some of the fall foliage is pretty. The playground has... More

My husband and I loved this bike trail. There is a lot to see along the way. The Cannonsburg village was interesting also other historical sites along the way.

The Greenway is one of my favorite places to go on walks. Beautiful scenery and nice people along the way. We take our dogs for some new sites and room to roam. It is paved and shaded along the way. The bikers using the path are friendly and notify you of their coming from behind. A great place to walk... More

This trail is paved and level. Beautiful, peaceful walk. Walk can be short or several miles. This connects seamlessly with the Stones River Battlefield National Park and appears to be very safe. Best we have ever seen.
