A nice park near the city of Scranton with available parking.. Different trails and views of streams. The treehouse is a good overlook. A gazebo has concerts in the summer.

I grew up in the Scranton area, and visited the zoo often as a child. I realize now that the conditions for the animals were far from ideal, but in the 40s and 50s people didn’t think about such things. The collection of animals was...More

We love Nay Aug, and I have been taking my kids there for nearly 10 years. It definitely has some great areas - the large wooden playgrounds are very adventurous, the walking paths are neat, the treehouse is so fun for kids. But the park...More

There are lovely trails along the Roaring Brook. Most trails are pretty easy but recommend you check website for a trail map or you may go out farther than you want

Lots of short trails , views of waterfall and gorge minutes from downtown Scranton. Large maps at trailheads , but TERRIBLE trail markers as you walk though. You would come to a split and no idea of what's what. I guess you are supposed to...More

When you drive into the park, you definatley don’t feel like you are in a city. Only the noise from the nearby interstate would remind you that you are. Nice trails, covered bridge and clear paths reminded me of some trails in Olympic National Park,...More

We enjoyed our time at the park with the Everhart Museum, Food Truck Friday and walking trails, particularly to the picturesque waterfall and glen from both sides of the creek.

Yes it's a safe area. Lots of joggers, and dog walkers around. The only un-safe area is the absolutely breathtaking waterfalls, called the Gorge. which has taken almost 50 lives that I know of. Stay out of that water! I'm... More
