Yes it's a safe area. Lots of joggers, and dog walkers around. The only un-safe area is the absolutely breathtaking waterfalls, called the Gorge. which has taken almost 50 lives that I know of. Stay out of that water! I'm sure the Gorge is on You Tube if you'd like to take a look. But other than that. I don't know of any crimes that have taken place up there lately. Other than people leaving valuables in plain sight, only to come back and find a broken window in their vehicle.
