Such a cool place! You can swim in two olympic suzed pools, jump off low and high diving boards, drive your car around the park, all of it. With a dollar, you can play pinball for an hour or more if your skilled. Ride the most dangerous roller coaster in the U.S. ride the Dodgems, get stuck and listen to the guy holler "turn the wheel" but didn't help. Watch the merry go round filled with kids eating cotton candy and smiling at their parents. Visiting sparky the baboon and challenging him to a tug of war with your wet towel.
Jumping all the rocks at the falls without barriers. In the winter; hockey on the duck pond and skating in the pools. Afterward, hot chocolate in the pavilion.
I went back but couldn't do any of that.
Left a lot of memories, but glad I left.

Weather was great and the park was very nice. Playground, tree house, bridge goes over the rushing river and several place to watch the trains from above. Highly recommend. Took a 8 and 10 year old and they were highly entertained.

This was a first time visit for me, and I only spent about an hour at the park. There is so much to see and experience - I will definitely come back for more visits. I parked near the museum, and enjoyed looking at the outdoors sculptures. (Not a lot, but interesting nonetheless). I also walked part of the Davis trail which is quite long. It was interesting to look down towards the river while stolling around this trail. This park is well-known in Scranton.

Plenty of trails and playgrounds for kids to run around or to get a nice walk. Also has a pool and water slides however the WERENT open yet. The wooden playground was a bit run down but still operable. Has a Mine museum and display that we didn’t get to see.

I grew up in the area, and gave not been to Nay Aug in decades. It is definitely not the park of my childhood - no carousel, train or zoo. It does have awesome walking paths. If you go visit the Blackwatch Cafe on the grounds. It’s a cute stone building built in 1905 that’s been renovated. Great pastries and drinks, with a nice terrace where you can sit. Very limited indoor seating. Give it a try!

Lots of graffiti on the trails and kids with no parents loitering about. Great trails and plenty of parking. Got a great workout on the rocks. Gorgeous scenery.

Scranton's largest public park is returning to its former glory more and more each year. Amusement rides have returned during the summer months, including the miniature train that operated there for a number of years. There is a large pool, concession stand, playground equipment, enormous wheelchair accessible tree-house (you have to see it), and in 2007 they built a new bridge over Roaring Creek which gives access to the other side of the park which has been inaccessible to the public for decades. Some really great views of Nay Aug Gorge can be had from the new trails. Along with paved and gravel paths, a large pavilion is available for events.

Nay Aug Park is a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors!

My wife is from the Scranton area and shares stories after story of when this park was a premier place to be complete with a zoo, a pool, and events occurring constantly.

My family was driving home from a vacation in PA and decided to take a detour to stretch our legs. Scranton in the area of this park is extremely dirty and sketchy. We tried to ignore it but when we got to the park there was tons of graffiti and teens hanging around the walking trails.
My kids were super excited for the tree house but it was closed off with police tape and locked shut. There were flowers and a makeshift memorial under it. The kids were so disappointed and so was I.
The whole place felt sketchy and I didn't feel safe until we got back on 81. I do not recommend it.
