Captain Xander was efficient, responsive, fair, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. We had an amazing time at Salmon Lake Cabin and we wouldn’t have gotten there without Alexander.

Took us out to Salmon Lake Cabin for a few days over the 4th of July weekend and picked us up when we were done. Very punctual and helpful with the loading and off-loading of all our gear, people, and dog! Excellent conversation, and made sure all needs were met. Highly recommend Xander!

I traveled from Fairbanks to Sitka w my husband and 1 year old daughter. I was planning a bday surprise for my husband and decided to arrange a trip out to Goddard Hot springs. I contacted Capt Xander by email and he quickly responded with all the information I needed and more! We seamlessly arranged the trip. The day of the trip, He promptly picked us up at the harbor where we stayed and brought us out to the springs. The ride was great, and he provided us with some sitka information and history. The springs were incredible, we soaked for an hour and it was peaceful and beautiful out there. My husband loved it! Would definitely recommend Captain Xander for your trip!

Went out into Sitka Bay with Capt. Allison in December. Not an ideal time weather wise. However Capt Allison is a walking/talking/sailing history expert. He's engaging, funny and very personable. He is passionate about the area and it shows in everything he does. His boat is spotless and well maintained. When you travel you meet all kinds. Allison is one of those gems that makes you glad that you're alive. You finish your day with him and feel like you actually learned something of use. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Do yourself a favor and book him early. You will not be disappointed.

My mom and I are in Sitka together during February. This is not the normal season to go and do a lot of whale watching tours, but I was lucky enough to contact Captain Xander who watched the weather carefully, ensured we would be dressed appropriately, and even a had a few insights up his sleeves to where we might see a whale. My mother had never seen one and this was a semi-surprise for her for her 70th Birthday. We Lucky us not only did we see waterfowl a plenty, swimming sea lions, kelp forests, eagles, but we also saw 3 whales. We were able to follow them from a distance for some time and enjoy their playing and fishing. We ended with a beautiful Rainbow on our way back. Highly recommend as Captain Xander also filled us with knowledge of the local area and was so very knowledgeable.
