There are many beautiful views to be had in the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. But one of the most beautiful is the Massanutten Storybook Trail. Located on Chrisman Hollow Road off US 211 in Luray, Virginia, the trailhead is marked by a large...More

We placed this on the way across the valley early in the mid-morning (let's say 10 AM). The walk is nicely paved and a casual incline suitable for all ages and abilities; we passed someone who was 98 making her way to the overlook. The...More

While searching for this we happened across another trail that was pretty cool with a story about a cougar in various signs. Not really sure still where that was. This trail was easy to walk and leads to a sturdy landing with a beautiful view....More

We walked this trail but when we got to the lookout couldn't see anything because of the rain and dense fog. Will catch again on good day.

Really enjoyed the view. Easy paved path from parking lot to overlook. Saw several eagles flying overhead and close. May like having binoculars along. Finding the turnoff to trail is not well marked. Ask directions before jumping in car to get there (located between Luray...More

This was a well maintained paved interpretive trail that leads to a fabulous view. It was a bit of a drive to get out here and the trail is very very short. Took us maybe 10 minutes to walk out and back. This would be...More

We went here while we were in Luray. I randomly Googled trails nearby and out of several this looked the most interesting, and it surely didn't disappoint. The trail is paved and easy access for those in wheelchairs. Alternatively, you can go "off-road" and walk...More

It was foggy the day we walked the trail so we were not expecting the best view, but we still enjoyed it & got some beautiful pics.

Don't start this unless you can really walk. Its not far to a great view..but it is slightly uphill and there are no benches along the way. Walkway is paved..it is bikeable and wheelchair ready.
