Great shop, super nice owner. Shop has a variety of stuff and lots of beadwork supplies. If you're like me and have a wife or significant other into beading you know the horror of accompanying them to a bead shop. Countless hours of pouring through trays and stringers of multicolored beads and fasteners, etc. Well the owner of this shop figured that out. I think she saw the dread in my face and opened up a drawer at a work table and plopped a pile of Sports Illustrated, Discover, Field and Stream, and Time on the able and said "Here, maybe this will help you. Pull up a chair." I did, the wife bead shopped, and all was well. Brilliant! All kidding aside, great shop, lots of items with stories behind them, and an owner who couldn't be nicer.

Thanks, Gary! We wish more guys would walk through our doors! Even though we don't have a big screen TV streaming the Sports Channel, we do try to make the men who wander into our shop comfortable. And if you're a guy who is looking to pick up something for a mom, sister, wife, girlfriend or daughter, our knowledgable staff can suggest several options in your budget.

Last week we spent a day in Luray. We toured the caverns and then went into town to have lunch. We discovered this cute little shop. I'm an avid beader and was quite surprised to find a store selling beads in Luray. Of course I had to stop in. I found beads I had searched the internet for, with no success. But beside the beads, there was wonderful jewelry, scarves, hand-dyed clothing, and locally made products. There was a real treasure trove of handmade items. Lots of great gift type pieces. The owner was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had a great time in Luray and I will definitely return and will be sure to stop back by Shenandoah Moon. This shop was far more than just a bead store. It was a great place to see the work of the artist of the area.

This shop was a great find, beautiful clothes, pretty jewelry, helpful owner even made a minor alteration so the tunic I bought fit better. While in Luray, have lunch at the Purple Door Cafe just up the street. If you take the Shenandoah Moon card from the Cafe counter to the shop and spend at least $40 you get a free bracelet!

I had to search for this entrance...but when I walked in I was in awe...jewelry and goodies galore. Great selection even from artisians from the area. Beads and jewelry making supply goodies are in the back of the store, along with the classes that are offered. The front end of this store, just blew me away. I think this was one my fav stops to check out while visiting Luray! I love my purchases and definitely a memorable stop! Thank you!

Last week on a visit to this lovely store I shared with the owner my frustration over trying to get a pair of earrings converted to clips. Three different jewelers had bluntly told me that it could not be done. In a matter of less that thirty minutes this personable and clever lady had whipped out her magic pliers, a dab of paint, a few beads and some clips and viola! a lovely new set of earrings.
In addition I was able to purchase a couple of Christmas gifts and a spiffy new silk scarf.
The shop is filled with beautiful and interesting things and the owner and staff are delightful. Shenandoah Moon is a must stop on any visit to Luray.

We found Shenandoah Moon by looking for attractions in Luray. I called to find out the hours of operation and the recorded message instructed me to leave a voice mail. I did and the owner called me back! She offered to stay open, even though it wasn't during her regular hours! She helped me get my disabled husband into her shop, and then spent quite a bit of time telling us about all the beautiful things there. She is a talented artist and creates the most lovely beaded jewelry as well as other things. We truly enjoyed the time we spent there. If you are going to be in Luray and love beautiful things, Shenandoah Moon is a must-see!

I was looking for a fun place in Luray to bring my two nieces. Fortunately, I remembered my wife telling me about a charming little bead shop on the west side of Luray's old town. The friendly owner greeted us as we entered the door and immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. The shop is well stocked with jewelry and a wide selection of beads and accessories of every kind. The owner patiently sat with the kids and helped them design and put together their own necklaces. The kids were thrilled and I'm sure they will be proudly wearing their pretty art work for a long time to come. Thanks to the owner, Susan, and that gem of a shop. The product and experience Shenandoah Moon provides customers is truly a value. For adults or children, I would put a visit to Shenandoah Moon on the top of my list - what a great experience!

I went into Shenandoah Moon looking for gemstone beads, and their inventory and tools exceeded my wildest expectations. A happy group of knitters in the back of the store made me wish I were part of that scene, too.
What I didn't expect, however, was the discovery of some marvelous sun-hats, hand-crocheted in Indonesia, for which I'd been searching for over 10 years to replace! I'm recovering from cataract surgery, so hats are now a must, (grateful for that excuse to buy several in different colors) They look great, travel well (my dog slept on a couple with no damage) and will serve me well for years and years. Susan, Haley, and Jessica made me feel like part of the shop's great energy. I resisted the temptation of some scrumptious hand-made jewelry, because I'd already gone overboard, but you can bet Shenandoah Moon is on my list of places to revisit!

My husband researched the area and knew that I would be in seventh heaven in Shenandoah Moon. I think I would still be there if he hadn't finally dragged me out....Susan, the owner, even sat down and ate lunch with us after my husband went out to get BBQ sandwiches.

I bought the most beautiful hand dyed cotton yarn that Susan created....and unlike many other hand dyed textiles I have purchased this was color fast. When I asked Susan, she cut off a piece and soaked it in hot water to show me it wouldn't run. I believe I will be knitting it up into pillows.

I also purchased some unusual beads - and she sells things in short strands so you don't need to purchase more than you need. I was amazed at the variety of her inventory - every craft and gift need was represented.

I only wish I had known we were going to Shenandoah Moon - I would have arranged to take a class in silk dying. Susan also teaches many other art forms. I suggest contacting her before you visit to make arrangements.

After 5 minutes in the Shenandoah Moon I feel as though I have a new friend and a new destination for a road trip!!!

I am amazed at the affordability and diversity of the products that she carries. Always so personable AND she always tries to give u a deal. We stopped in tonight, she was supposed to be closed but stayed open another hour to just chat about gemstones. You can tell she loves the town she lives in and loves the things she sells. Anything from unique clothing, scarves, to purses, and a variety of handmade beaded jewelry. She even has a frequent shopper card! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!
