Just enjoyed our second visit to the Warehouse Art Gallery which is an awesome combination of sight and sound! If you have ANY interest at all in any of the Arts, do yourself a favor and visit this wonderful Gallery! There is no charge to get in and browse around but there is a jar for donation at the door. PLEASE throw some money in when you exit so this Gallery can keep going. It's a VERY cool place!

I just found the gallery while driving by. The warehouse is much bigger than expected from the street frontage. Painters in several media, fabric art, pottery and sculpture artists are represented. The front desk staff let me wander and browse at leisure without hovering.

Very interesting place. They have so many different kinds of art on display - ceramics, jewelry, iron, painting, photos, etc. We were able to stroll around, taking our time looking at everything. One of the owners was playing the piano the whole time, very relaxing to listen to. My daughter purchased a gorgeous painting from a local artist. A great stop in Luray.

Luray Virginia is a small town and is surrounded by the glorious art of nature, but if you would like to bring home local art, I recommend this warehouse. Located in downtown Luray, the warehouse showcases a good collection of local art from painting, jewelry, hats, to ceramics and more. There is a wide range of choices by many different artists at very reasonable prices in this spacious warehouse. Parking is convenient.

We stopped here after reading the reviews and it turned out to be one of my favorite stops. I will go back here. I had my 13 and 9-year-old with me and they loved it as well. I was an art student and this place brought back those memories for me. Very interesting and original artwork of all kinds of mediums.

Big collection of Art in large unheated warehouse. The quality of the work varies with all skill levels. Was hoping to see more professional pieces representing local landscapes. Overall a nice stop to see a variety of art.

Lots of interesting art from student level to professional. I think classes are held at the site. Displays are wall mounted and free standing leading to fun wander and frequent surprises. Some of the art is for sale ( maybe all?) and placards with artist info displayed with it. Jewelry in a separate room near entrance and textile art is displayed- cool one of a kind shirts and pants . I bought a batiked shrug that reminded me of my hippy youth. nice memento of Luray.

Other than at MassMOCA in western Massachusetts, I have not seen such an incredible collection of contemporary art in one location. While most pieces are from local artists, the sheer volume and variety of pieces makes this collection worth seeing and, in some cases, worth buying. Spend a few hours here next time near Luray.

The Warehouse Art Gallery is nicely arranged and does a great job of showcasing local art and artists in LuRay. While we just visited to look at the art - it appears that they occasionally host live events, which would be nice too.
You should note only one small space with jewelry and smaller objects is air conditioned. That is where the staff is found - the rest of the warehouse is divided into two sections and is un-airconditioned. It was pretty hot on the July day when we visited and we hurried through the art displays a bit more quickly than we might otherwise have done.
No purchases were made, but they had a nice selection and most of the art appeared to be local. Stop by and check it out if you are an are aficionado.
