we learned more about the trees and the park than we ever read about just wished there would have been more on the history and the logging

Helpful volunteers at Giant Forest Museum
Apr 2016 • Family
The Association maintains an excellent area at the Giant Forest Museum. They had some creative souvenirs--including a bat puppet. I know a 4-year old who will love it.

Well...I miss the pool table
Dec 2015 • Family
Back in the day this was the bar and pool hall...but now it has been transformed into a really nice museum/information center. Well worth the visit...before you get out and hike!

Hiking Guide for Sequoia National Park
Oct 2015 • Solo
This is a non for profit outfit that uses its revenue to support Sequoia and Kings Canyon national park. You can hire a guide to take you and your group on a half day or full day hike. I hired a guide just for myself for a half day. The guide, Savannah, was excellent. She tailored the hike to my request, how long, what I wanted to see, and what I wanted to learn. She was knowledgeable on all counts. We had an awesome hike up to Panther Gap.
