Wonderful city library
Nov 2019
This is the main library for Thousand Oaks. It has a wonderful children's are and a large collection of books, music CDs, Movie DVDs, magazines, genealogy center, etc.. There is a lovely very large aquarium in the center of the library. There is ample parking and a lovely park adjacent to it which is good for picnicking, walking, viewing birds and fish in the ponds.

Nice community library next to a great park
Nov 2019
This is a lovely community library. It has more than books. There is an enormous fish tank and a delightful gift store. They have a large children's section with an extensive collection and puppets to check out also. The library sponsors community lectures, concerts, book clubs, children and teen events. There is always something going on. It is located next to one of the premier parks in Conejo Valley.

Excellent local library
Sep 2019 • Family
I’ve lived in the area for 25 yrs, my kids grew up going to this library. The Children’s section isn’t your typical library. It is filled with rocking and bean bag chairs, nooks to climb into and read and no adult saying “sshhhh.” They also have cds and puppets to check out in addition to an am amazing book selection. The children’s side joins the adult library by a tremendous aquarium bridging the two spaces. The adult side is filled with books and movies to rent. There is also a gift shop and a snack bar. In addition, there are outside patios where you can read and relax. A great library in a great city!

Wonderful children's section. Lots of puppets and a fun fish tank inside for kids to look at. Must have a local library card with local drivers license.

GREAT Library, lots to choose
Jul 2019 • Solo
This is one of the best libraries in the Greater LA and Ventura County area.
I have been coming here for over 2 decades. It sounds strange to say it now, but one of the best things that happened to it was an earthquake and because of that, a lot of the library had to be ripped down or redone, and it is so much better.
It seems that it is constantly improving.
New books, rented for 2 weeks, are great and usually available after a few months of its initial release.
There is a huge choice for children, as well as adults.
The staff are helpful and knowledgable.
The library is divided in two parts - children on one side, a beautiful huge salt-water aquarium in the middle, and adult section on the other side.
There are DVDs, movies, music CDs available to rent out. There are quite a huge selection of various magazines on different subjects, as well as enough newspapers.
There are also some items for sale.
Furthermore, enough computers free if you have a library card.
Lots of comfortable chairs and tables, tables big enough for you to plug in a laptop and do serious research work or homework, or simply reading.
There is also an outside area where you can sit and read if you wish.
Finally, there an area where you can get coffee (for a charge), sit and sip while you talk QUIETLY with others.
I cannot say enough about what a great place this is!

A Jewel of a Library!
Aug 2018 • Family
This is a fantastic library! It has all of the support and services you could ever expect from a library. It's also huge, beautiful, well staffed, and there are many extra features and events that put it above and beyond most other libraries.

They have a large section of the library for children, a large meeting room, a gift shop, coffee service, plenty of self checkout kiosks, an outdoor area, a very large fish tank, a huge assortment of every type of animal puppet you could imagine (for lending), a 3d printer, a huge video collection for lending in both the children's and adult sides of the library, music media to lend, and a nice selection of used media for sale. There are also quiet study rooms, computers for member use, copy machines, and many desks where quiet tutoring is allowed. And I'm probably forgetting a bunch of other things. On top of all this, the library is located adjacent to a very large park with several sets of playgrounds, a pond, a creek, a trail, and the teen center and Goebel Adult Community Center. It's truly a fantastic location!

Our family of 5 has enjoyed this library for many years, and two of our young adults have volunteered here. Thousands of free items to borrow of course and also items for sale at fabulous low prices.

Huge selection of books for adults and children
May 2019 • Solo
This library is a wonderful place for everyone to go to relax and read. There is a children's library that is well stocked with hundreds (many hundreds) of books and activities for kids. There is a large fish tank separating the children's section from the adult section. The adult library is huge, with many areas for reading, doing homework, research. There are computers available at no charge. Very comfortable chairs and large tables. Quiet nooks. Wonderful atmosphere.
