My boyfriend and I booked this tour during our visit to Santa Fe. Allen was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, interesting, and punctual. We very much enjoyed learning about the history of Santa Fe. The price was also great compared to other history tour options in the area. All in all a very nice experience.

Our 19 year old twins went on this private tour with Allan and loved it. Aside from being highly knowledgeable and a good story teller, Allan was thought provoking. Our kids contemplated the nature of their souls, the afterlife, spirits. They came away stimulated, and a little spooked (in a good way).
Based upon our kids descriptions and excitement, Allan’s tour should not be missed. One tip—try to book a sundown/evening tour.

My daughters and I took the private ghost tour last night. Allen’s excellent knowledge of Santa Fe history, paranormal events and places, mojos, portals, and UFOs delivered thru his captivating stories made for a very enjoyable evening. If you’re into folklore and details of history not found in the mainstream then this is the trip to take.

The ghost tour with Al Pacheco was very entertaining. He is extremely knowledgeable about history, UFO and peranormal activity in area. My husband was not as excited for the tour as I was but admitted that he also really enjoyed it. In Santa Fe this is a must do experience.

Not only is Allan incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Santa Fe (in general and in terms of paranormal activity), but he was also our pit bull. He kept us safe and made sure we got back to our car after we heard a gunshot. A spooky way to end a spooky tour!

Al was very entertaining & informative. The only problem was the tour ended. U r probably not going to see ghosts, but u r in for a historical journey. Be sure u tell Al your interests. In this case, it was Santa Fe during the Manhattan Project. See where the Soviet Spy Ring was HQ! Al's interest is your interests. This was my first time in Santa Fe, & would tecommend u start with Al, so u can go back the next day & do more exploring.

Excellent tour with a fascinating tour guide. We didn't see any ghosts but he showed us lots of photo of ghosts, orbs, and other paranormal phenomenon taken in Santa Fe. Allan is really knowledgeable about the history of Santa Fe, UFO's, ghosts, energy lines, and really anything else you may be interested in. Don't hesitate to ask your questions. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Local historian and Author Allan Pacheco is the only tour guide in Santa Fe who actually has ghost hunting experience and has investigated many areas over his 30 plus years of being in the Santa Fe area. He personally took us to many places where there was history of apparition sighting and shared photographs of some of his personal hunts, with a few photos that stand out, such as one taken in a local cemetery where a power surge of some kind comes up from the ground (grave site) and fries the circuitry of the camera. This is a rare occurrence and exceptional to capture a photo of it through a second camera while it was occurring. He spent a couple of hours with us walking us around and even though it was a pay for tour I felt that I came away with a friend that I could contact as I needed later.
Not interested in the paranormal?: Allan does historical tours and can leave out the ghostly experiences for the squeamish if requested. He is the author of several "easy read" history books on the Santa Fe area. Grab one for the ride home on the plane and your flight will go by quick, as our's did.
PS: Allan also has experience in keeping the local beggars at bay while on the tour and they can be pesky in the plaza areas after dark. For the most part they recognize him as a local and will leave your group alone. We never felt threatened while walking the streets at night on this tour. Because of many narrow stairways of the buildings, I don't believe that this tour would be handicapped friendly and you should contact him for the minimum age that he would like to see on his tours.

While in town, three of us girls did this tour with Allan. It was wonderful and more than we expected! Not only did he cover history and ghosts... he touched on the paranormal, the occult and lots more spiritual / religious things which happen in this area.
He really tailors the tour to you and your group's interests. We asked questions all along the way and he was able to answer them all and work more stories and history into our tour based on our interests. It was all we could have expected from a tour and more! Take the time to do this! Even if you have been to Santa Fe a million times, this still has some interesting details. Margaret, Liz and Jennifer

On a recent trip we were able to take a Ghost/History tour with Allen. He captivated us with his stories for the entire tour. While we didn't see any paranormal activity, I do believe I heard a presence walk up behind me just before we headed down a very dark alley. Fascinating stories in the beautiful town of Santa Fe by a guide that really knows all the local lore.
