Worth your visit is you like artisan cheese cured meats and nice people!

What a great find! We happened on this store on E. Marcy St. You can sample a variety of artisan cheeses. They have a wonderful burrata cheese that arrives on Wednesday’s as well as fresh mozzarella. The owner was so very kind to text us when it arrived at the store. You will find unique pastas, balsamic vinaigrettes, oils, gifts and a great selection of cheeses. They also have a picnic plate menu.

Go here!!!
Sep 2019
If you love cheese, you must come here. It is a cheese shop, but so worth going. If you go on a Sunday, secure your baguette or batard in advance. Their selection is amazing. Business was slow when I arrived, so I tasted several cheeses. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Another customer was also helpful — if you like that one, try this one...so I did! I am still enjoying some of the cheese I picked up, including a fabulous Shropshire blue. My only complaint is that if you sell Stilton-like cheeses, please have some chutney on those well-stocked shelves of other wonderful goodies. Fortunately, I found some apple and cranberry preserves that filled the niche. We had cheese, preserves and fresh bread as our Sunday night snack. It was heavenly!

Fabulous selection, friendly service

While vacationing in Santa Fe, we stopped into this great shop and were truly impressed by the selection of goods and knowledge of the staff. Once we told them we had tickets to the opera, they said, picnic basket? Turns out, they do a fabulous to go box chock full of delicious treats.

We walked around for 30 mins while they prepared our mini-feast. Opening the box, we couldn’t believe how much was packed in! Cheeses, meats, nuts, fruit, chutney, mustard, crackers and other surprises in a beautiful presentation!

Basic go to place in Santa Fe

Essential first stop before the grocery store if you're stocking your self-catered vacation home. Spectacular array of cheeses and Italian cold meats and condiments. Friendly knowledgeable staff is generous with samples and patience. Pricy, but you won't find their quality and selection at Albertsons or Smith’s or Whole Foods (if you can even find Whole Foods).

Great Cheese Shop!
Dec 2018 • Solo
I'm so grateful for this shop! I used to make cheese plates professionally and came to Santa Fe for the holidays with a plan to create a big plate for family. I had a list of specific cheeses with no idea whether the Cheesemongers would have any of them...and they had almost all, plus others I was excited to try. They were handling the Christmas Eve rush crowd like total pros and did not seem rushed while carrying out their tasks quickly. Still took the time to go through different options and let me try things to compare, plus had advice on pairings and seemed excited to share their passion with everyone who walked in the door.

Well worth a visit!

Found a brochure for this place in the hotel. We stopped in around lunch time. A wide and varied selection of cheeses. The young woman who waited on us was very friendly and helpful to a pair of cheese newbies. Sampled several cheeses before selecting two that formed the basis of our small plaza picnic.

Fine selection of cheeses

Great place for high end cheese and removed a bad memory of a store next door. Samples are given and the range of high quality cheeses is very good. It is not a large store, but the quality is high. Worth a stop if you love cheese!

Lost a star for snooty service
Dec 2017 • Friends
Cheesemongers was on my 'must vist' list and we went twice, so I definitely liked it. They give decent sized samples, there are TONS of delectable cheese options, but they are SLOW, they do NOT smile or say thank you and for some bizarre reason only have one slicer, so if there are others in the shop - which there always are - you must queue up for meats. You are assigned one attendant and please, do not try to speak to the other attendants. Learn the rules and you will enjoy some fine, expensive, but worth it cheeses, meats, crackers and other goodies. On the second visit we went in knowing exactly what we wanted and it took over 30 minutes to get our items and pay - we know this because our 30 minute meter outside the door was expired. That's pretty darn slow to pick up two cheeses, two meats and some crackers. That said, I would return, I would just put more money in the meter.

A foodie place!
Oct 2017 • Couples
Not only are the people who work here extremely friendly, the selection of cheese is diverse and wonderful. There are other food products for sale also, many you can't find in other stores. Some of the cheeses are expensive but the quality is excellent.
