We went for drinks. One had the House Margerita, the other had the Coconut Margerita. Both were fab. and both were $14. Service friendly and location is good and cozy.

Stopped in here for drinks while visiting Santa Fe for a couple of days. Very pleasant staff, good eats, and excellent drinks. Definitely stop in again when we visit Santa Fe.

Great bar atmosphere with live music and a decent bar menu. Polite service. Ordered mini braised short rib tacos. We waited and waited. Others were being served but we just sat there sipping our cocktails. We were beginning to think we were forgotten then were notified that the manager would come speak with us. Apparently the kitchen was out of braised short rib but no one seemed to know. We were given some other options and chose the chicken tacos. Turned out to be plain breast meat on a taco. Okay but certainly nothing special. Other food at the bar looked good. We just drew the short straw that evening. The manager did remove the tacos from our bill but it would have been better to leave with a content belly. Could be a great place...

While waiting for a table at the main restaurant we stumbled on the Hotel bar and lounge and stayed there. What a pleasent surprise! We got great food and drinks with excellent service. The highlight though was Jimmy Stadler's band which was playing that night. He packed them in and got them dancing! Was surprised that so many locals frequented the place. Great experience! By the way the hotel terrace is a great spot to watch the sunset before dinner.

To be honest, I'm not a HUGE fan of Margaritas. Some places make really bad ones with mixes and all you taste is the cheap Tequila that they use. Well.....I PROMISE you that if you go to La Fiesta Lounge in La Fonda Hotel, you will be VERY glad you did! I urge you to get the "Silver Coin Margarita." In it they use FRESH lime juice, simple syrup, Patron Tequila.......which makes for a cold refreshing Margarita that is TO DIE FOR! I prefer it on the rocks with salt! Overall, the BEST Margarita in Santa Fe HANDS DOWN! I just had 3 women friends come out to visit and I took them to try one. They all agreed! Don't miss this Margarita!!!

Nice atmosphere for a quick drink. The bar is right off The Plaza and is better for adults. I'd really recommend the cucumber margarita. There is a selection of local beers and a beer flight available . Staff is courteous and professional and the hotel is nice.

Our first night in Santa Fe, the lounge was packed. So our first introduction was on Sunday evening when there was no entertainment. However, we had a meal and met our favorite waitress, Isabel Cruz. She was very informative about the food, drink, and the lounge. We returned the other two nights we were there and enjoyed a small band, great drinks, and the nicest wait staff in town. Thank you Isabel and Forrest! You made us feel welcome and at home!

Very fun place to sit and watch the eclectic visitors. This was the night before market so the room was filled with gorgeous Native American jewelry. Service was good. People were kind. Music was live. Live is good.

This place had it all - good food, country and western music you could dance to, and comfortable seating. It closed for renovations in the winter. Now, the bar could be in any airport. Some of the tables are too small to put a chair under. The menu has been revamped - not for the better. And the dance floor has been shrunken in half.

Dear Jane G,
Thank you for your review of La Fiesta. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience in the bar and are unhappy with the renovation. A lot of research was done to ensure we brought elements of the past into this new bar design. The former bar design that you are referencing was last renovated in the 1980's, which was not a historical design. Prior to that time, the bar was a horseshoe-shaped design that existed going back as far as the 1950’s, which is why we returned to that original layout. We added the rabbit sculpture which is based on the historic Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter ashtray designs that existed in the hotel. The tables have paintings that were taken from Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter's Mimbrenos china designs found on the Super Chief trains. We recognize that change is not for everyone and are sorry that the remodel is not to your liking.
Our bartenders, however, have not changed and so there is no excuse for poor drinks or cold food. We hope that you spoke to your server about this issue and they replaced your meal. We will make sure and discuss your comments with the staff and the manager and appreciate the feedback. Thank you for sharing your opinions.
