Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

I am not a spa type of a person but I have enjoyed some outdoor soaks in the winter in Canada so I was open to trying Ten Thousand Waves on a very cold but very sunny day in November. Our bill was $52 for just two basic "women's baths." It is nice that robes, slippers, towels, shower toiletries and... More

Easy to get appointment for a massage. Great experience, my massage was wonderful.....she covered areas of concern that I mentioned. Foot soak was enjoyable too! Will go back every time I make it to Santa Fe.

For a place to pamper, special occasion, splurge, and seek total relaxation, look no further. My boyfriend treated me to a spa package that included private outdoor hot tub (they literally lock the gate so no one can get in) and a massage with salt glow. From the moment you step inside and check in, you change and can spend... More

A great place for a soak in a lovely location and with very friendly staff. We just used the communal pool but that was still great.

Stopped in for an afternoon soak. Overall nice experience but a little crowded when I first got there at 4. Around 6 it seemed to get much quieter and less crowded. Would go after 6 next visit!

During my wonderful stay at Santa Fe - lovely Rosewood hotel, fantastic Shiprock gallery etc - had this spa on my Santa Fe to do list. Prebooked a table at the restaurant and walked in for an access at the spa. "Welcome" at the spa by the front desk lady was so terrible that I cancelled immediately all my plans... More

Beautiful facility, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Good technicians. Bathroom, locker facilities are very small and minimal but sufficient. Grounds are beautiful. I'd return again

I love this place and dream of it when I don't have a chance to visit. The therapists are all top of the line. The atmosphere is soothing and it always smells really good. Soak in a hot tub if you have some time and stay as long as you can.

Be sure to pack a swim suit or trunks since it's not clothing optional. I rented a pair which was fine. Very nice communal pool for soaking in hot water. Relaxing outdoor foot spa and waterfall and koi pond. Also, have a relaxing area to lay down and listen to soothing music. If you want to massage, book before you... More

Thanks for your nice words. Actually, every hot tub and sauna except the Grand Bath is clothing optional--this includes all private tub/sauna complexes, women's communal tub, before hours communal tub for lodging guests, and the lobby sauna. That said, the Grand Bath requires at least suit bottoms to foster a more ecumenical vibe--it's a great place for couples, singles, and... More
