Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

Found this while we were in town, we just popped into the open pool for a couple of hours. Nice to soak as the sun set and the stars came out. Hot tea and water on offer, look forward to going back for private spa and see more of the place. Staff were very friendly, un-rushed and professional.

This was my first time at a spa, and I went reluctantly since my daughter really wanted to go. I was quite pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and informative, giving us a tour of the place and explaining how to proceed. I spent most of my time in the women's communal tub, located outdoors in a quiet and beautiful... It was my sister's and I's first time. We did the private hot tub, dinner , and a massage. The Staff was great and got us where we needed to be for each thing that we did on time. The massage was wonderful. I would recommend this to everyone.

Wanted to come here for a long time and finally did. Cool experience and location, the bath was really nice. Restaurant was delicious! Did have a boujie atmosphere at the spa which I didn't like at all. Felt like they looked down on me for not getting a spa package. The place is expensive enough and I didn't feel welcome... More

Thanks for your nice review! I'm sorry you felt you received some attitude from staff. We pride ourselves on being inclusive, not exclusive. Packages are great to totally disengage from the world, but we realize that not everyone has the time or means. Many of our guests never do anything but the communal pools (around $17 a day with a... Expensive, but worth the price. My husband and I shared a private pool, sauna and waterfall cold plung. Than had great 2 hour massages. Enjoyed a great lunch first at their restaurant. After all the touring and walking it was a welcomed relief to just relax and be pampered.

I was completely blown away by Ten Thousands Waves. I'd read about it in travel blogs, and the friend I was with had been talking about it for weeks, but I could not have been more pleased by this place. first, the tubs - such a cool thing. we did a private tub (waterfall). i don't think i've ever felt... I've been in most of the tubs. The deluxe private tubs feel very luxurious and they're great for romantic rendezvous. Pricey though. I most prefer the women's tub; reasonable price for all-day privileges and the atmosphere is very chill. I love the nice tub, cold plunge, outdoor shower and sauna. Beautiful deck in the pines. Bring a book. This spa... More

I was very impressed by the whole set up. IT was last minute to decide on a foot treatment, I would love to go back for a spa weekend. Girls trip for sure. THERE were a lot of couples as well, it's just that it's not my spouses thing. They had a fish pond and a foot soaking station while... More

Started our vacation with a few days/nights at this spa. Very authentic to the Japanese aesthetic. All the rooms are different, so pick what makes the most sense for your stay. We each had excellent spa treatments (LOVED my massage). Excellent hot tub, which was really nice as the evenings here are cool in November!
