So many awesome author events that occur at this little theater along with cool uncommon movie showing and events. Met the owner George RR Martin, Neil Gaiman, Joe Abercrombie, Carrie Vaughn.... such a great addition to this town.

While visiting Santa Fe, my wife and I were walking back to our condo from Santa Fe’s Railyard area. We walked by the Jean Cocteau Cinema, a small “art type theater". Outside was featured a recent film we were interested in seeing. The next day I was able to purchase tickets online and had them sent to my cell phone since we had no printer on vacation – a new experience for me, which worked flawlessly. We walked to the theater, purchased popcorn and craft beer in the small lobby bar, and went into the actual theater. Itr is small, maybe 150 seats, but with comfortable seats and cup holders in every seat. Only a very few coming attractions and no adds before the main feature. Sound and temperature were both very good, A very nice experience and a very good movie!

Jean Cocteau is a great place to see some unusual films. The owner, George Martin, has put a lot into the theatre without totally indoctrinating visitors. The movie theatre has a great bar with very innovative cocktails, in addition to a well appointed concession stand. The movies we have seen there the 5-6 times we have been have been varied and good. This is a nice place to spend an afternoon!

Stopped by for a couple beers and board games while in Santa Fe for a few days. Staff was very nice, recommended other places in the area, and were helpful buying items in the gift shop. A good chunk of the merchandise is signed by George RR Martin and isn't marked up significantly, great spot to get gifts for GOT fans.

This tiny theater shows an interesting variety of Indie movies. The staff is friendly and it has a pleasant atmosphere. And of course I had to get an autographed book for the George R R Martin fan in my life.
