The Santa Fe Botanical Garden strives to benefit all Santa Fe and New...

The Santa Fe Botanical Garden strives to benefit all Santa Fe and New Mexico citizens, and our area's many visitors. The Botanical Garden is an independent nonprofit, not a part of the four Santa Fe state museums, with a commitment to affordable admission and providing monthly Community Days free for New Mexico residents. Our educational mission raises awareness of critical issues such as water conservation, climate change impact, and responsible gardening practices. SFBG consists of the Botanical Garden on Museum Hill and the Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve. The Gardens provides an "outdoor living room" where everyone can connect with nature, marvel at amazing plant varieties, and benefit from a place for contemplation. Visitors can relax under shading ramadas, discover a century-old red bridge, and explore the Art Trail, where changing exhibitions of sculpture will encourage return visits. With an array of native and traditional plants, awe-inspiring stone and metal work, and breathtaking vistas, the Botanical Garden is the essence of New Mexico. The Landscape Architect is W Gary Smith, and we are currently in construction of a 2nd phase, an Ethnobotanical garden to open in 2016. Please stop by and enjoy beauty and lessons to be learned in the garden! Thank you.

The gardens are new and they are improving all the time. Started small and it is getting to be a bigger attraction. It is a small botanical garden with cute gift shops and dirt walking paths. December PM festival of lights was interesting. Not fabulous but clearly effort went into the designs.

We enjoyed their holiday light show in December. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. The walking paths are fun.

Took family from California, who very much enjoyed it. The addition of the newer section is excellent, clearly to be much used. The Glow is wonderful, but we were too late for that, but it was still a lovely visit.

Nice place, but I wouldn't go out of your way to visit this place. It's not a very large setup, however, if you're already up on Museum Hill it might be worth checking out.

Spectacular vistas and winding trails to take in as you walk through the gardens. Cannot wait to go back in-season. Lots of expansion still taking place. Check their calendar for events planned. We could not get there for the NY Eve Illuminaries but the pictures looked spectacular.

The SFBG is a small, but recently expanded, garden of regional plants set in typically stark New Mexico earth tone setting . This background lets the plants stand out. The recent addition o the Ojos y Manos area has expanded he gardens footprint and added a great space for educational programs and events. We were lucky to have attended the... More

I've been in Santa Fe all my life and had never heard of this place. I recently was hired to help with an event called Glow which went for 1 month. I had a great time and met a lot of people I probably would have never met. Heard music I would have never have heard before. I would recommend... More

I wouldn't go out of my way for this garden, but if you're already on the hill, it's a lovely spot with some fine views.

We knew that this was a relatively new attraction in Santa Fe and that an expansion was set to open just days after we visited. So we understood going into it that it wasn't a fully-established place yet, but we wanted an outdoor activity and we were curious what it was like. It's a really lovely place! They're still growing... More

My husband and I are new to Santa Fe, so we anxiously anticipated seeing "Glow", the holiday light display at the Santa Fe Botanical gardens. This event is highly publicized as being fairly spectacular, but while it was pleasant and everyone was friendly, it was anything but spectacular. Santa Fe is a world-class city in almost every way, but "Glow"... More
