- Donald JDenver, Colorado3 contributionsPleasant Suprise in Santa FePlayed early May, 2023. Greens had been areated previous week. Front 9 was closed for finishing up sanding so we had to play the back 9 twice. Overall, the couse is in good shape. Typical, following areation, putts are prone to be bumpy. In our opinion, the value for our $ was very good. Would certainly play it again, but more likely in June.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 20, 2023
- travelforfun2233Fruita, Colorado192 contributionsNice CoursePlayed 18 with a golf cart on a beautiful day in October. 4 sets of tees so accommodating to all levels of golfers. Fairways are wide and not a lot of water so actually didn't lose any balls on my round. We picked up our cart from someone just finishing a morning tournament and actually ran out of juice by the 17th hole. Called the clubhouse and they were out with a new cart within a few minutes. Great view of all the surrounding mountains.Visited October 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten October 19, 2021
- Lori CMilwaukee, Wisconsin129 contributionsGreat course at a great price and great viewsYou will not believe that this is a municipal course. It is beautiful, challenging and in great shape. We played another semi private course and thought that Marty Sanchez was just as great. Do play it if you are in the area.Thank you for your wonderful review! We are pleased you enjoyed the southwestern terrain and 360 degree views mixed with our friendly customer service and unbeatable greens fees! Compared to bigger golf courses around the United States, you get a tremendous value mixed with the style only northern New Mexico and Santa Fe can offer. Our award winning staff and PGA certified teaching professionals strive to deliver exceptional customer service and to honor the legacy of Marty Sanchez as "Santa Fe's Golf Course of Choice!"Written September 14, 2015This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited September 2015Traveled with friendsWritten September 5, 2015
- checheSan Antonio, Texas1 contributionDisappointedWe have been looking forward to playing this course for a year now. We love the NM weather so we come every year from Texas. We were actually thinking about buying a summer home here. We drive up and immediately see how poorly the grounds are maintained. The pro shop and club house are in great disrepair. Course is fairly easy but it is poorly maintained as well. Port a pody on the course and no water in the ball cleaners. I would be embarrassed to bring guest out to play with us. I’m shocked Santa Fe doesn’t offer better than this. We are now going to look at different locations for a summer home because a nice course is important to us.Visited September 2022Traveled with friendsWritten September 18, 2022

- Vonda CCentral Arizona, Arizona3 contributionsYouth Golf tournamentThis greens had just been dressed so we were not expecting very good conditions. But they were dressed with sand so deep the grass wasn’t visible on many greens, fairways had been cut so short the grass was burned and dandelions were so thick the fairway looked the rough in many areas. This is the second time visiting this course and it was very unkept mid season last year. Reviews are extremely dishonest!Thank you for sharing your experience with us vondac737! Although this review does not reflect our other superior and consistent reviews, we are saddened to hear about your experience. As you may have known prior to the tournament, spring aerification and topdressing of the greens were just completed two (2) days prior to the event. Our maintenance staff has worked diligently to keep the course in top shape - especially during mid-season - and in particular, showcased their strengths last year during our 20th Anniversary celebration. We recently won 1st place in the best golf course category from the Albuquerque Journal Norths Readers' Poll and that's in large part because of our dedicated patrons like yourself. Although you visited us 2x in only our mid-season, we'd love to welcome you back and showcase to you why Marty Sanchez consistently ranks high amongst patrons and in-turn, has become known as "Santa Fe's Golf Course of Choice!"Written May 1, 2019This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited April 2019Traveled with familyWritten April 27, 2019
- mrk4thBurr Ridge, Illinois317 contributionsGreat public courseOne of the nicest municipal courses I've ever played. Beautiful views all around. Fairways and greens were in great shape. The price was also surprisingly low after 1pm, due to 'twilight pricing'. Five tee boxes make it a challenge for anyone. Highly recommended.Visited October 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten October 31, 2018
- Robert SLawrence, Kansas2,775 contributionsWonderful and scenic municipal golf courseThis is a really fine golf course in a gorgeous setting. One of the best municipal courses we have played on. It is kept in excellent shape and has enough terrain to be challenging. We played every week in Santa Fe. It is right outside town and very affordable. Try to get here and play a round.Thank you for your review Robert! - AggieMomma1College Station, Texas18 contributionsAwesomeThis course is beautiful! We drove out just to look at it for future trips to Santa Fe and couldn't resist playing 9, which turned into 18, it was too beautiful to resist. So glad we had our clubs in the car! Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Course was gorgeous! Tee boxes, fairways.. Only negative was the greens had been aerated, but hey, it has to happen sometime, right? Just unfortunate timing on our part. The price is super reasonable. If you are in Santa Fe you MUST play this course. Perfect weather, nice people.. You can't go wrong! Now back to Texas heat and humidity.. Boo hoo!Thank you for your review! - LawrenceInver Grove Heights, Minnesota352 contributionsMakes you feel welcomeThis is a public course, and it does not feel snooty like a country club. There are five sets of tee boxes, the white tees are appropriate for golfers with about an 18 handicap. There is a moderate number of sand traps. The greens roll nicely. I went into the desert twice and was able to punch out well. The people were friendly, there is a cafe. I'd love to go back many more times. There are plenty of washrooms out on the course.Thank you for your wonderful review! Price is low, but it’s a true bargain. Course in the best shape ever, played a complete round in 4 hours, and food in the restaurant was GREAT.

Hi WilliammT9521JA!
Thanks so much for your 5 star review on Trip Advisor. We are pleased to hear you feel our rates are low. Our competitive rates are hard to beat; at least within the Southwest region.
Compared to other municipal golf courses around the United States, golfers get a tremendous value mixed with the style Santa Fe have become known for.
Also, thank you for acknowledging our course conditions. Our Golf Course Superintendent and dedicated maintenance staff strive to maintain and provide the best experience possible for golfers.
We hope to see you again real soon and thanks again for your excellent review!

The golf course and facilities are very nice. The rental clubs were old, worn out, dirty, and in some cases, broken. They belonged in the dumpster. Charging for them was irresponsible!

I played on this course as I was driving through Santa Fe.
The course itself is nice, easy and fairly well maintained. It is fun as well so if you're driving or staying it's worth a visit.
The most important thing is Leonard, the manager.
I've never been so happy and satisfied about a service (regarding golf) in my whole life.
Leonard is a real gentleman willing to help and to make you feel home.
I'm writing this review to thank him for his wonderful job.

My road trip through Santa Fe allowed for an evening round of golf. I arrived 31 July at 5:15pm just as a Juniors Tournament was finishing and ended up having the course practically to myself. I played18 holes in 2 hours! The staff found the best discounted green fee for me without me even asking. The course yardage varies greatly due to the multiple sets of tees so the course fits all handicappers. The greens were in great shape, rolled true and smooth. The fairways were okay due to earlier summer drought. I liked the course design...it seems the architect took what the land gave him. Some elevation changes, I'd play it again in a heartbeat!

Okay, so it was cold, very cold but the sun was out and my threesome that was headed to Bernalillo called Marty Sanchez and re-routed. Beautiful day! Yep there was snow in lots of places and now there are some golf balls in some of that snow but it's February 1st and we played golf.
As usual the staff was excellent. The course was really in pretty good shape so we have a good time. Birdie on 18 was a great finish.
We were able to get a bite to eat before teeing off and I must say I am a believer in the hand held breakfast burrito - eggs, hashbrowns, green chillis, bacon for $5.99 and nothing skimpy.
Yes, by all means try the course, it is particularly beautiful in the spring.
