Definitely stop in for some chocolate if you're in the area! The American chocolate elixir was fabulous! Bought some to make at home! The brownies are out of this world, as well -- not too sweet, perfect consistency. Totally yum!

Those are just one example of the great chocolates available at this store. They also have numerous hot chocolates to sample. Not too sweet and utterly delicious!

After a fun filled and very active day of mountain biking or hiking or art galleries and museums, where to go to just chill and chat over the best icy iced mocha in the world and not-to-be-outdone scrumptious champagne chocolate truffles? I went on TripAdvisor and found Kawaka which had to be one of my most favorite spots to go... More

I was here in 2011 on my last trip to SF. Its a great place to stop for ice-cream, coffee, and cocoa. You will drool over the chocolates in the case, and can buy them by the piece. It was quite busy her this particular Saturday. I should have purchased some coffee to go as well.

I visited this place for the first tjme after two friends talk about it and it was great. I personally am not a dark chocolate fan and so the owner had me try a flat milk chocolate with like salted pretzels in tol it was AWESOME. A location in Denver would be great. Definatly suggest you stop there on your... More

Housed in a charming little structure reflecting Santa Fe's rich architectural heritage, Kakawa is one of several chocolatiers in the Land of Enchantment! Frankly, it is at the top of the chocolatier pyramid. Though I have tried many of their divine chocolates and scrumptious truffles, the one chocolate siren that calls my name daily is the chocolate peanut butter bar.... More

If you love chocolate, this is the place. I appreciate that Kakawa is in an older building which is charming and noncorporate. The service is excellent.

When in 'the city different', a visit to Kakawa is a must. This little gem of a chocolate place serves hot chocolate the Mayan way; not cloyingly sweet, just pure chocolate goodness in a Demi-tasse cup. They also serve homemade ice cream and hand-dipped chocolates, as well. The staff is very friendly and will offer you tastings of all the... More

We loved the helpful and friendly staff. If you can only visit one place in Santa Fe...this is it! The chocolates are so gourmet, creative, exotic and delicious! Try the Mayan elixir if you like it on the spicy side.

The staff were very pleasant the free sipping chocolate samples are, well, unique and extremely good. We shared a salted caramel organic ice cream topped with real whipped cream and homemade chocolate fudge. The ice cream was light and very tasty. We only sampled the sipping chocolate but it was quite good. I highly recommend this place.
