We had high expectations as Savion Glover has a great reputation. But we found the show a little too long and the straight tapping for the whole first segment a bit daunting. It was a show for tap aficionados but left the rest of us wishing for more enterainment with actual songs and tap routines. The interval of DeJohnettes's original... More

We go often to the Lensic-- MetHD, High School for the Arts, ProMusica, special events. It is a very special place in Santa Fe. It was renovated by the Zeckendorfs about 15 years ago and it has very good sound and a large stage with a screen. The interior is stunning and the seats are comfortable. We like it very... More

We attended the joint performance of Ailyn Pérez and Greg Mathewman, the latter just in from London. Ms. Pérez beautifully filled the house with her voice, loud and soft, and even with humming somehow projected to the audience. Her wizard of an accompanist was her peer in this marvelous show with one intermission, and the Theater gave her a wonderful... More

We stopped in to experience David Crosby and we're treated to a First class venue. Stunning local architecture outstanding acoustics seating around 700 was tantamount to a personal concert. FANTASTIC!

I was recently here to see the opera Les Pecheurs de Perles transmitted live from the Met in NYC. It was my first time to the Lensic and I thought it was a really cool experience. All of the staff were very friendly. The theater is so classic New Mexico in style. It seemed like every seat had a decent... More

This jewel of a theater hold a great variety of different events appealing to a very broad scope of interests. There is usually something going on there. Look at their lineup to see what appeals to your tastes. The Aspen Ballet's Nutcracker there in December is one of the very best and the seating is all very nice. We just... More

Had an opportunity to attend a concert of "Cumbia" Latin Jazz music. Was in ABQ with a group tour for the Balloon Festival with a free evening. We were staying at the Hilton, which only a half a block away. This historic theater seats 800, and has been beautifully maintained with comfortable seats. Tickets can be purchased online or by... We saw a live show here and found the place friendly and inviting. The volunteer ushers were very helpful; the will-call line quick and friendly. The place has a lot of historic decorating aspects that make it interesting to look at. Get there a few minutes early to look around.
