We visited this place the end of August. Only dry flowers noted. Asked the sale lady. And she said 3rd week of July would be the best month to visit the blooming flowers.
Nice drive ( about 6 miles) from Friday Harbor ferry. We brought a rental car from Seattle.

We stopped by later in the afternoon and enjoyed exploring the farm. Interpretive signs explained the processes and factors affecting lavender growth and types. A wide range of lavender products are available in the gift shop and a small cafe out by the field included lavender ice-cream on their menu. We also enjoyed a game of croquet on the lawn.

I visited with my sister because we both love lavender, and were not disappointed. The fields were beautiful and the smell was delightful. There are a TON of bees, which is to be expected. It was cool to hear the hum created by all the buzzing. There were some tent shaded seating areas near the lavender, as well as closer to the gift store, which makes for a great picnic. It's also dog friendly - if I wasn't on vacation, and my dog wasn't at home, I'd totally bring him for some great photos! I only wish we could've had access to the lavender on the hillside, but alas it was on private property. The gift shop did an excellent job with COVID-19 procedures, and had a great selection of everything from lavender hand sanitizer to lavender cookies to lavender scented pet pillows. Staff was friendly and courteous. I would absolutely return on future visits! Entire trip (walking the field, browsing the shop) took 40 minutes.

It was easy to spot the lavender farm, Acres of beautiful purple lavender growing in rows. There was plenty of parking we walked over to the tent and saw some of the items for sale and bought lavender ice cream. We sat under a tent, it still was pretty hot. The lavender ice cream didn’t taste like lavender; it wasn’t anything special. We did go into the main building where they had lots of lavender products and information about the 30 different varieties of lavender here. I wanted to buy lavender bug spray but they were sold out. I bought lavender fudge and lavender body oil as gifts to bring home.

We stopped here on the way from the north side of San Juan Island to the South. Located in a beautiful setting, it is a relaxing experience to walk through the lavender displays in front of the building. Once inside, there are a ton of products featuring lavender. Just about anything you can imagine and some you couldn't! The prices reflect the island and the exclusive products they sell. Be sure to check out the exhibit out the back door for more lavender information. Recommended

Great exhibits on how they grow and harvest lavender and make the lavender oil. Picnic tables, clean port-a-potties, ice cream and gift shop. Sits across the street from a pretty pond.
Stopped here during our cycling tour with Thomas of Cycles San Juan.

It was quite easy to find and location has free parking. I learned lavender come in more than one variety!! They have long established plants and newly planted ones. It was nice to walk Amoy g the plants. There is no admission to visit the farm and the fo offer lavender ice cream, tea, lemonade, and chocolate all for purchase. Ground is hilly so just be cautious when walking around.

Acres and acres of lavender with bumblebees & honey bees busy at work provided a nice back drop to sitting and enjoying our lavender vanilla ice cream that we purchased on site. The picnic tables were spread apart providing a safe distance during the Covid-19 Pandemic. My husband & I shared a cup of ice cream and the subtle flavor of lavender was just the perfect touch. We also visited the gift shop which had placed appropriate 6' markings for social distancing and was limiting the number of shoppers at any one time. Masks were mandatory. These protocols were greatly appreciated and assured us that they were taking the necessary precautions to protect their shoppers & staff! The shop was filled with wonderful tempting items. We had a lovely visit!

This is a bit of a drive from downtown Friday Harbor but well worth it. It's incredibly beautiful and great photo ops. Their gift shop has an amazing selection and they are practicing strict Covid-19 safety protocols. Highly recommended

If you love lavender, really love lavender, then head out to the source, Pelindaba Lavender Farm, just outside of town. It's lavender lavender lavender. Lavender essences. Lavender soap. Lavender fields. And, most interestingly, the massive lavender press where they turn the stalks into all of these magnificent products. In addition to visiting the store and viewing the press in action, head out to the fields and take a stroll. If you love lavender, this is a must visit
