Despite the smoky/foggy environment and fire ban, our trip was a real pleasure. While we didn't get the opportunity to see any Orcas, Pat (our guide) was very knowledgable and did help us find a variety of aquatic life, numerous species of deer, seals, porpoises, otters, sea lions, many eagles and birds, and Gossip Island...twice... Even though the largely vegetarian cuisine was not exactly my cup of tea, the quality and quantity of the food was overwhelming...including plenty of peanut butter to fill in the gaps for the meat-eaters amongst us. Those in the group with a more sophisticated palate really enjoyed the food, and what I did try was full of flavor... I especially enjoyed the "Pat Thai". One recommendation: At the start of the trip it would have been helpful to run through each day's itinerary, speaking specifically about route and the importance of currents etc. on our timing. Things got pretty hectic/stressful in the mornings as we prepared for our departures. I think this could have been avoided with the details mentioned... Overall, this was a great trip and I would recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and beautiful way to see this amazing area.

We had an awesome time. We've never kayaked before and weren't sure what to expect, but let me tell you, it was fantastic. Our guides, ZOE and CHRISTINA were THE BEST. After our intro to kayaking and packing our gear, we were off! You get plenty of breaks and stop at some really cool places for lunch. The food was outstanding; can't say enough about it. The guides share their immense passion for the outdoors and incredible knowledge about the environment; always upbeat, very social, and very encouraging. It was unfortunate the wildfires in CA, OR, and WA blanketed the entire area with smoke and fog. Despite the visibility challenges, we still saw lots of jellyfish, seals and deer. I've already recommended and provided information to friends and co-workers so they can plan trips for next year! Its a great time, you won't regret it! COVID- the guides really enforced the wearing of face masks when in close proximity to each other and when near food. They have plenty of hand sanitizer and set up a hand washing station in camp.

What a great experience! My guides Patrick and Sam did a great job keeping the group educated about the local area, well feed with some amazing BLD and deserts. I can't wait to come back to the area.

My hubby and I just finished the 4 day sea kayak trip with Outdoor Odysseys. Amazing trip! Guides Pat and Sam were awesome. We had no previous sea kayak experience, and they were excellent coaches, we were quickly comfortable on the water. Our group was a bit large, 12 people total, so we had 2 guides. The first day was very tough, high winds in our faces and fighting against the tides. But Pat and Sam got the group through it with lots of encouragement, grace, and humor. Subsequent weather for other days was fantastic, and we could fully appreciate it after that first day. Having expert guides who willingly shared their knowledge and kept everyone safe and happy made the trip especially enjoyable. The fantastic gourmet meals were also a bonus. We were especially impressed with how complementary the guides were of their boss and the company. Clearly this is a well run outfit, and we appreciate the hard work of the entire Outdoor Odyssey team!

Campfires, full moon, sun, stars; endless laughs, salt & stoke!!! Cedar waxwings, eagles, kingfishers, porpoise, river otters, seals, sea lions & more. My first ever all inclusive adventure and most epic paddle trip to date; the meals were delicious & hearty, out of this world; all the while accommodating my food allergies! I can't thank you enough, Pat & Outdoor Odysseys!!
