Absolutely gorgeous area to kayak and an excellent way to spend a day. Markus was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable on everything: marine biology, plants and trees, ocean currents, and the geography of the surrounding islands themselves. I could not have asked for a better experience.

We booked a full-day kayak trip and it was such an amazing experience. Our guide, Markus, was awesome-- he was knowledgeable and patient, helping us with our gear and our paddling technique and providing tons of information about the tides, the wildlife, and the history of the area. We were lucky enough to see two pods of whales as well... More

Our 3 day kayak trip last week was a wonderful experience. It's quite the escape to get to spend the day on the water, in this beautiful area, and to to see firsthand not only orca whales, but porpoises, seals, eagles, and shorebirds too. Our guide Sam had a ton of knowledge about the wildlife and history of the area... More

Recently my family came to visit me for a mini-vacation while I was on a summer work assignment on SJI. Our time was limited as was our budget. At the last minute, we decided to take a kayak sunset cruise with Sea Quest Expeditions after meeting kayak guide Sara at an informal setting. She was warm and friendly and welcomed... More

Beautiful scenery and a nice way to spend 5-6 hours. Kayaks were fun and guide (Will) was very knowledgeable of many interesting facts.

We had an excellent time on the full day kayak adventure with Sea Quest! Elizabeth was an outstanding guide - she is extremely knowledgable about not only the sea life and wildlife in the area, she also offers education on the entire environment and history of the islands. She gets you involved so you actually experience the environment as opposed... More

Our guide Will is fantastic !! Knowledgeable, considerate, very skilled at what he does. We did see an Orca, a ways off on day one.Its easy to see the pics on the site and think you'll have that same close up experience.Uh. no.not necessarily. But many bald eagles, many many seals, it was amazing overall. Having not done a 2.5... More

This was the highlight of my trip to Washington! We booked the half-day tour extremely last minute (15 minutes before the bus came) and Sea Quest was very accommodating. Our guide, Marcus, was extremely knowledgeable and fun! He kept everything super interesting and gave us a lot of facts about the area and orcas. We ended up going out in... More

Our family had a great time on our two day excursion with Sea Quest. As we paddled our guide, Will, educated us on everything from the edible bull kelp to shore birds that flew over us to paddling advice. He was patient, knowledgeable and fun!! We had a perfect evening setting up camp on a secluded island, sharing dinner with... More

Getting here takes some doing - plan your drive, ferry ride, etc. carefully. To add some fun, charter a little plane from Anacortes airport to get there ($200-$250). Anyway, we did a sunset tour in a tandem Kayak, and it was a blast! Do not worry about it being too physical - I am in terrible shape, and I did... More
