Whale Watching from Friday Harbor

524 reviews
The waters surrounding San Juan Island are full of salmon, the primary food source of orca whales, making it an ideal location for whale watching. With this tour, set out on a boat equipped with a heated cabin and large viewing windows to look for killer whales in their natural habitat. San Juan Island is rich in wildlife, and minke, humpback, and gray whales can also often be seen in the area.

Small shop with an amazingly good selection of chocolates. I purchased two rhubarb chocolates and they were delicious. I love rhubarb and its hard to find truly good rhubarb anything, and these were a wonderful surprise. This was my first visit to Friday Harbor and I will back but the next time I will indulge more of the wonderful chocolates that were available. I'm kicking myself for not trying the tiramisu chocolate and several others that were available. The lady behind the counter was very warm and welcoming. Oh, and the next time, I'll explore the wine selection too.

... when the previous TA reviewers all rated Friday Harbor Chocolates and Port Wine shop as "Excellent"? They have a surprisingly wide variety of artisan chocolate candies for such a small shop space. The nice lady behind the counter when my wife & I visited greeted us immediately & was very attentive to all customers. She helped us pick out some suitable chocolates to match our tastes, and the truffles that I chose (Grand Marnier & another liqueur-infused dark chocolate) were some of the best I've ever had. My wife enjoyed her creamy milk chocolate dog specialty candy as well. Don't miss stopping at Friday Harbor Chocolates while shopping along Spring Street. Everyone deserves a special treat, and this shop is filled with them.

I love chocolate so I HAD to visit this store. It’s small, quaint, but has a wide variety of products in the glass cases. I bought a raspberry cordial in dark chocolate, shaped like a butterfly. $2.50 for one. It was delicious!!

I recently traveled to Friday Harbor and stayed at a local AirBnB. I contacted Aylene, the owner of Friday Harbor Chocolates, to ask if she could help arrange a gift basket to be delivered to the residence before we arrived. She created a wonderful assortment of wine, chocolates and snacks that were a surprise and a big hit to the person with whom I was traveling. This was service above and beyond! The wine was wonderful and the snacks decadent! I recommend anyone visiting Friday Harbor to stop into this shop, say "Hi" and sample her wonderful creations!

The very nice lady behind the counter helped me pick out a few wonderful dark chocolates. My favorites were the ginger and the marshmallow ones. The chili 🌶 spice one was a bit too spicy but paired with the ginger it was nice.
