Went to the tourist information centre to ask about the closest laundromat and left with the suggestion that we see the murals in the federal building just across the way. Very glad we did. You have to go through security but it's a public building...More

Need to go through security, but worth it to visit this original Post Office and Federal Court building. The time line murals in the lobby are a nice addition and the security staff are friendly!

In the vestibule, open to the public, is a group of murals by Howard Cook painted in 1939 in true fresco technique, painted on wet plaster, that tell the story of San Antonio's Importance in Texas History.

Good to see, if in downtown area. The mail area still open, has beautiful cealing, no charge so if you can must do.
