Beautiful performing art center. Helpful volunteers. However, masks are still required when you enter the facility, despite even airlines having dropped their requirements. But not to worry, because apparently covid threat disappears when you go to your seat because they are not required standing or sitting in your seat. Makes zero sense. Fail.

An absolutely stunning venue. Their policies are unexplainable. They allow snacks and water, for formula to feed infants, but refuse nursing mothers the same. Unequal treatment all in the name of making a dollar or should I say $7 for a bottle of water.

It is an OK venue but over rated and smaller than expected. They treat you like TSA searching bags seizing items they consider prohibited. It is a theater. You can't take drinks or snacks, but you can't buy anything either because if their are snacks bars, they have been closed everytime I went there. I go with family. But would not recommend to visitors. No knives, clippers, scissors, nail files, bottle water, drinks, snacks, food items, medications. Leave in your cars or lose it

I was here for a rock concert and met the head of security (Jose). Not only did he tell us it was ok to vape tobacco but he also said it was cool to smoke herb as long as we were on the floor. Awesome guy. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Jose!

I am absolutely astonished!! The professional performance is wonderful. HOWEVER
patrons can bring in FOOD and eat and crunch their snacks out loud!!!
We attended a violin concert ....wonderful, expensive seats in the seventh row center....
folks were crunching snacks they had just purchased from
concessions DURING the performance!!! As we looked around...
folks are eating AND drinking.......! It's almost as if we were at a ball game!
ouch!! How unprofessional!!

There is no “bad” seat in this center. Comfortable, clean, and the show we saw was a fabulous one night production of An American in Paris.

I've even to the Tobin Center for several occasions, but mainly for comedy shows.
The facility itself is immaculate, every seat has provided a clear and unobstructed view of the stage, and the sound is incredible. Even off-mic asides are picked up, adding to there richness of each performance.
Highly recommended.

Wow, the Mars event and speaker, Kobie Boykins was outstanding. So well informed and presented in "layman's" terms with a beautiful graphics experience added in.
The audience was mesmerized!

My husband, myself and our son and his girlfriend attended the play The Producers. The valet parking made it very easy to get to the event on time and to enjoy some coffee and cocktails prior to the event. Pick up from Valet, understandably, was slower than drop off due to everyone wanting their car at the same time. Saying this, it was, still, a quick, efficient process. The Tobin Center is very beautiful in a modern way. The seats were comfortable and the box office amenities was worth the extra amount. Every one was helpful, pleasant and attentive. The Play was wonderful, we cant wait to take in another event.

Open less than a year in the former Municipal Auditorium, this gorgeous arts center is conveniently located on the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. The SA Symphony, opera and ballet are all performing there this year with wonderful acoustics. There are numerous children's events, some free, as well as an outdoor theater area on the river. There's a free shuttle downtown to the Tobin from various points and restaurants that makes it very convenient although parking nearby is often reasonable as well as valet service.

What seats are available for the disabled?

We have reservations in a Grand Tier box for the Kenny G performance coming up in March. Grand Tier users are supposed to "have access to the Founders Lounge." Can somebody tell me what that is? What can we do there, etc.?

What is your suggested strategy for dinner then show? I understand there are no restaurants nearby, and I'm guessing it's hard to park near a restaurant then move to the venue and park again. What time would you do what for a 7 PM show including restaurant, parking, and seating at show? Thanks in advance.

What time is valet parking available ahead of an 8 p.m. curtain? Thanks!
Written October 5, 2016
Sorry for delay. I'm sure this is too late.
Valet Parking is there an hour before curtain. You can check the exact time on their website. However, valet parking has to be purchased in advance.
