Went fishing early on a Sunday morning before the water got to warm and the Fish stop biting. Well I trolled and anchored fished for 4 hours and not even a bite. The boat ramps were nice and the docks too easy loading and unloading.

I don't fish but go out when my daughter and her family and my husband go out. The fishing is good, easy access. Good size lake, get there early it fills up fast.

Great place to go fishing and just relax. Bathroom was clean when we visited, plenty of places to load your boats, playground was also nice and clean. Will go again.

Calaveras lake is the best lake to go to if you want good fishing. They have a power plant that keeps the water warm 24/7 so fish spawn in that lake year-round. The catfish are good size ranging from about 18 inches on up. The...More
