This was the reason we travelled to SAT....hill country wines.
Matt was absolutely wonderful. He gave us history lessons about the area and provided more information regarding the history of wines in TX. He asked us what kind of wines we preferred but be open to go outside your comfort zone...you won’t regret it.
We did the aficionado tour and I bought wine from every winery we tasted at. We had so much fun and met a lot of really cool people. The time at Fredericksburg was perfect for lunch and to check out some of the stores.
Don’t look at any other wine tour!

Matthew and Cottonwood Wine Tours are 10 steps ahead of the other tours. Matthew is super knowledgeable. We learned so much on our tour. He handpicked 3 different Hill Country wineries that were unique and picturesque. Some of the best wine we’ve ever had. I highly recommend them. I wish we could give them more stars.

We’re so glad that you enjoyed our “Private Label” tour! We definitely try to customize this tour exactly to your tastes, and we’re happy to hear that you enjoyed both the wines and scenery. Thanks for visiting with us!

We took the Guadalupe wine tour. Matt was phenomenal. Not only was he knowledgeable about wine, but the area as well. He was very personable and accomodating especially since we were having to deal with COVID restrictions. We felt very safe as he went above and beyond to maintain and observe the necessary precautions. I highly recommend this tour and this company. will definitely return.

This is a delayed review, my husband and I did the Texas White House tour in September 2018 and we had a great time. It turned out to be only my husband and I on the tour, but it wasn't cancelled and Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. We spent some time in Fredericksburg, had lunch there, then went on to a great tour at the LBJ ranch. The final stop was a winery visit with great tastings. Overall a wonderful way to spend the day.

My husband and I had a great time on our wine tour. Matt was a great tour guide and the red wines were excellent! It was a great way to spend the day outside of San Antonio. We loved our lunch in the quaint town of Comfort, TX as part of our tour.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to take a moment to tell the world about Cottonwood Wine Tours. My wife and I were visiting San Antonio looking for something different to do and we stumbled upon Cottonwood. We took the Hill Country Aficionado tour with Diana. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great day. This was the highlight of our trip. I will definitely book a Cottonwood Wine Tour when we visit San Antonio again.

We enjoyed our Private Label tour day. Picked up from hotel downtown San Antonio and arrived back by 5. 3 wineries included which were customized based on our wine preference. Matt was a gracious host, driver, and historian for us. Recommend booking through then. Brady was great to coordinate the with.

Because the owners ARE the tour guide and driver, they really care about your experience. The pick you up, take you out for an absolutely lovely day (including as much time as you'd like in Fredericksburg), and then bring you back to where you started. You don't have to worry about a thing. They cover the pouring/tasting fees, bring along snacks, store your wine in a cooler if you buy any, and are both knowledgeable and delightful. They know where to go, and you really don't have to worry about a thing. They could not have been more accommodating. Worth every penny!

When I made the decision to visit San Antonio, I didn't realize that the Texas Hill County even had wineries. I can only hope that any other wine tour I may take will live up to the experience I had spending the day with Matt. I am especially grateful that Matt and Brandi have made it their policy to not require a minimum number of people for each tour. There were only 2 of us on this tour and we received the royal treatment! Matt was very knowledgeable about the wine industry in Texas and about San Antonio history in general. We took the Hye Noon tour and visited 2 wineries and the Garrison bourbon distillery. We had lunch at the Hye Market (great food, by the way) and we sampled wine and beer with lunch. I just don't know how the day could have been any better. This will certainly go down in my book as one of the best adventues during my travels. Life's simple pleasures (good company and good wine) are hard to beat!!! Thanks, Matt, for making the day special.
