By appointment only! We strongly recommend booking at least 30 days in advance! Seriously!! San Antonio Western Shooting provides a safe, supervised fun Western Shooting Experience using real guns and real bullets. We provide instruction in the safe handling shooting of all guns. No experience necessary! You will have the opportunity to shoot reproductions of guns such as the Colt 1873 Peacemaker pistol in a western setting. When you get used to those guns we will have you shoot the double barreled shotgun. Shooters will shoot about 75 rounds and it will take about 3 hours, the cost is $130 per person. All of our shooting sessions are by appointment only! Sorry, no "fast draw" or "twirling" of guns is permitted. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted onsite. Guests may bring observers at no extra cost. See our website and Facebook page for more information. Unruly children will be sold to the Comanche.

What an awesome experience, the instructors were incredible, knowledgeable and enjoyable. Not your normal gun range, quirky and fun (would highly recommend even if you have never shot a gun before) Way more than just about guns. An eye opening history lesson. (plus where else would you get a chance to shoot at an axe to try and slit a... More

Our group of 9 adults spent five days in San Antonio. As Canadians, we thought learning to shoot a gun would be a unique experience...and it was! We had a ball!! I can't recommend this enough. The cowboys and cowgirl in charge were fantastic. Clear instructions were given to ensure our safety. They were encouraging and had us go through... More

Unless you hate guns, this is the coolest thing ever. Not only do you get to shoot western revolvers and rifles, but you'll get a cowboy hat and holster and your hosts are also in authentic cowboy/ western attire. Outdoor target shooting is a lot of fun; much better than your normal shooting range. Speaking of which, the Western Shooting... More

Went with my husband during our stay in San Antonio. The staff were all really friendly and thorough in giving the safety advice and instructions. They really know what they're doing. We were split into small groups of 3/4 and there was two members of staff with each group so you always felt on good hands. You get to shoot... More

What an incredibly fun and unique experience our morning at SAWS was! Latigo and his team were awesome. As a gun newbie, I was somewhat nervous; however, Latigo's detailed instructions, calm guidance and kind words helped to put me at complete ease and turn me into a 'fast shot'. Latigo is a great storyteller to boot and has set up... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Our cowboys for the day were extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and of course, the fire arms. It was a blast! I will recommend this to everyone I know. Thanks!

I loved this experience! Me and my boyfriend went and were so excited to try this. I tell you this because many times you look forward to something so much that you think will be great, and then many times it ends up falling short. This place did not! I have never shot anything in my life, and it was... More

I visited SAWS on 9th Aug 2016 and (being from the UK) was my first time using real guns! But the friendly cowboys made sure that we were SAFE first! Their theory is safety first, then fun which I believe was correct. If you're into any sort of shooting, or even anything to do with the Old West - This... More

My family and I had a fantastic experience. The gentleman that ran the day were not only extremely knowledgeable about the fire arms, but also gave us an insight into the wild west and were extremely patient.

This was my second experience here and I loved it this time too! Even though we were out in the heat, the time seemed to fly and all of the sudden it was time to be done! The 'cowboys' were helpful, friendly, and fun to be around. They were great teachers and made sure everyone knew what to do and... More
