By appointment only! We strongly recommend booking at least 30 days in advance! Seriously!! San Antonio Western Shooting provides a safe, supervised fun Western Shooting Experience using real guns and real bullets. We provide instruction in the safe handling shooting of all guns. No experience necessary! You will have the opportunity to shoot reproductions of guns such as the Colt 1873 Peacemaker pistol in a western setting. When you get used to those guns we will have you shoot the double barreled shotgun. Shooters will shoot about 75 rounds and it will take about 3 hours, the cost is $130 per person. All of our shooting sessions are by appointment only! Sorry, no "fast draw" or "twirling" of guns is permitted. Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are permitted onsite. Guests may bring observers at no extra cost. See our website and Facebook page for more information. Unruly children will be sold to the Comanche.

I visited SAWS on 9th Aug 2016 and (being from the UK) was my first time using real guns! But the friendly cowboys made sure that we were SAFE first! Their theory is safety first, then fun which I believe was correct. If you're into any sort of shooting, or even anything to do with the Old West - This... More

My family and I had a fantastic experience. The gentleman that ran the day were not only extremely knowledgeable about the fire arms, but also gave us an insight into the wild west and were extremely patient.

This was my second experience here and I loved it this time too! Even though we were out in the heat, the time seemed to fly and all of the sudden it was time to be done! The 'cowboys' were helpful, friendly, and fun to be around. They were great teachers and made sure everyone knew what to do and... More

What a great place! We were holidaying in San Antonio and found this activity on the Tripadvisor website and thought it looked great, we were not disappointed. A well thought out activity that made us realise how skilled those Western Cowboys were. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to experience a taste of the old west. None of us... More

We had a great day! It was fun and entertaining and there was a great focus on gun safety. You don't need to be experienced shooter, just willing to learn. I highly recommend this.

Our family had a great time with the team from western shooting - we shot several different types of guns, both pistols and rifles and had an absolute ball. Safe and responsible, it was one of those activities that everyone loved, with smiles from everyone the whole time. Cannot recommend this highly enough - if you have the chance make... More

It was so much fun shooting in the 'old west'. We shot 6 or 7 types of guns including pistols and rifles and a shotgun. It really did feel like a throwback to the old west with the stories and the set up on the range. Anyone looing for something fun to do should do this. Bring a camera with... More

Attended a morning session as two visitors from the U.K.Knowledge of firearms not necessary but if you have experience with guns the very knowledgable guys are likely to teach more. You get chance to fire Colt peacemakers,Winchester rifles and shotguns.Basically it's 2/3 hours personal tuition and fun to boot.

Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Latigo and Chugwater. While safety was stress and followed, their humor and 1-1 attention made the time FLY BY! We want to take our grown up kids to this when we come to the San Antonio area again!

We couldn't have enjoyed this more. We got to shoot revolvers, rifles, and shotguns, and the "cowboys" who ran this were very safety conscious.
