Visitors absolutely love our unique Hop-On Hop-Off experiences! Our tour route starts in Alamo Plaza - immediately giving you the fantastic 'double decker' view of the beautiful Alamo - and then heads off in to the River Walk district and historic neighborhoods. We head north towards the Museum of Art, the Pearl Brewery Entertainment Complex, the Theater District, the Tower of the Americas, the Mexican Market Square, King William Historic District and much much more. Of course you are free to hop-off and explore at any of our 19 stops. If you do, just go back to where we dropped you off and our next bus will soon arrive. We have a frequency of every 20 minutes, all day, every day, from 8:40am to 5:30pm. Our tours enable you to discover our city's hidden gems, our renowned monuments, its best shopping areas, or locate one of its top-class restaurants after a long day spent sightseeing.

Great way to see and learn about downtown SA

Such a great way to see the city!!
I highly recommend taking a bus and do suggest making use of the Hop On Hop Off availability. We were able to hear from different drivers and though the routes were the same, they each seemed to have a slightly different aspect to highlight about their city.

The tour allowed us to Hop On and Hop Off as often as we wanted over the 48 hour ticket period that we purchased.

I wish I were able to name each individual staff member because they were all terrific. Everyone, from the Ticket Office members (we purchased online but still needed the QR printed), the very welcoming Staff members outside at the Big Umbrella beside the H&M clothing store, and the individual Bus Drivers were all so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. (Ladies and Gents, we are the two sisters from North Carolina who visited 2022 Halloween weekend and Ya'll were Great! JP, the love for your hometown shines through in how you spoke.)

We are so happy that we took this tour because we were able to learn about stops that interested us, then later able to return, ride again to Hop Off to see those places, then Hop On to ride again to the next stop that we chose.

Again, all the team members we met were fantastic and they all shared points about SA and about the best way to make use of this tour and about other SA points of interest.

Throughly enjoyed this.

Must Do in SA

Hop On tours are always a great and cost efficient way to gain a quick overview of any city. CitySightseeingSanAntonio was no exception. Routes were 15 minutes apart during my Sunday Spring visit and both open and closed buses were running. There is tremendous construction happening all over the city, parking in one place and using Hop On buses will definitely reduce your frustration getting around.

SA is experiencing the kind of growth happening in Austin, Miami and Nashville. I especially liked that the tour covered landmarks AND went through the new neighborhoods, very hipster vibe and fun to see.

If you're luck you'll have JP as your driver/guide; so funny and knowledgeable about the landmarks and history of this wonderful city. Definitely brings his "A" game to his work.

Riverwalk visit & parking suggestion

Parking at the hotel was very expensive with the valets which had long waits but luckily we researched ahead & found that the city (San Antonio Municipal Parking) garages which were much, much cheaper & secure. One was just a few blocks away (The Houston Street Garage-between College Street and East Houston). It only cost us $9.00 to park overnight. One thing we had read if there is a theater performance there may be limited parking.

I didnt get the double decker bus. I had a regular charter bus. The tour guide was knowledgeable I honestly think the best part of my package was the boat ride at night. I had a package that came with tickets to the cowboy museum and the boat ride. I dont think it was worth $77 the stops on the bus was very very boring

Hot and miserable.

Bought the 3 day with 4th day free, wasted the money. The wait for the buses were to be expected, but the buses themselves were *meh*. Spending over $100 on theses passes, I would have hoped the inside would be air-conditioned. Nope! It was like a sauna inside the times we rode it (temps close to 100 and feeling close to 110 degrees with humidity). Several times we had to sit and wait for the driver to take a smoke/drink/bathroom
Beaks. For the prices paid for this service, the buses need to be air conditioned! You get off sweating like a pig, sticking to everything you touch and feeing disgusting.. will never do this again! Would probably be cheaper hopping a city bus..

THEE Best Sightseeing Alternative!

As a Concierge, I never hesitate to recommend the ‘Hop on Hop Off’ bus as THEE best alternative when exploring the Downtown San Antonio area! Their choice of 19 different stops gives visitors plenty to experience the flavors of San Antonio. Thanks Katherine Villarreal for introducing City Sightseeing San Antonio to me and the Mokara Hotel!

A great way to get around!

We purchased a package that included the double-decker bus, a river walk cruise, and passes to the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum. This was a great way to get around the city and to visit the Pearl District! Our driver JP was awesome, he is from San Antonio and told us a lot about the history and the town. I highly recommend taking his tour!

A waste of money

We usually like these tours as they give us a quick view of the city, the places we would want to visit later, and a little bit of history or local information. Most of the stops were at hotels. There was some narration with a musical background, plus live narration from the driver. The recorded narration did not give much information, and the music background did not help. The driver's comments were focused on restaurants and bars (which ones were good and which ones were too expensive), and absolutely no history or other interesting facts.

We always take a bus tour when we visit new cities. Today we road on San Antonio's and the bus was driven & hosted by a sweet gal named Kat. Wow, she's a winner! We so admired her friendliness and clever, interesting and knowledgeable details of the city's highlights. So, we wholeheartedly recommend this city tour. You'll not be disappointed, especially if you can get on Kat's bus!
