I have brought my kids here since they were little for the play areas and now we ride the trails together. Great trails for trail running also. It is also connected to the Salado creekway which has nicely expanded. When the trails are wet just get on the creekway hike/bike for safe car free riding. The trails are tree covered... More

One of the best places in San Antonio to visit for a Leisure day of activity. It offers a bike trail with plenty of shape, it is paved, and away from traffic. It offers a dog park. Playground, soccer and baseball fields. Deers are often seen roaming around in the park. Fun for the whole family and it is free!

Love this place. There is always going on here. Hey have 5 or 6 different trails that you can take. They are marked clearly. There is a dog park/ kids playground. Hey have both paved and dirt trails. They have a few parking lots but they are spread out. On Saturday mornings they have free workout classes from 9-10am next... More

Id give the dog park a 5 star rating, but considering the whole park, i cant say that all the walking or riding trails are 5 stars. The dog park is really nice and spacious. There are plenty of shaded areas or benches for the owners to sit and watch their dogs play. There is even play equipment for the... More

I've been to this park multiple times to go geocaching with my brother and nephews. There are a lot of cool trails, the scenery is beautiful, and the park is pretty clean and well maintained. There's also a multitude of level 1 and 2 geocaches hidden throughout the park for those interested.

This park has several miles of paved hike and bike trails that wind in and out of the trees in this almost 200-acre park. Most of the trails are shaded. There's a playground for the kids, picnic areas and adequate parking. You can frequently see deer and other wildlife.

My husband and I have been bike riding there for a couple of months now, and it's just beautiful! Great trails for beginners and the experts alike! Paved bike/walk paths, and off road bike paths. The off road are tons of fun, but you should have a bit of biking experience before you try them. If not, you'll just be... More

McAllister is a park for young and old. Young children's play grounds, Baseball and Soccer fields, running trails over 10 miles of either paved or trail runs. Bicycle riding either trail or commuter plus a direct access to San Antonio trails system. Picnic grounds, BBQ pits picnic areas it is all here.

Tons of stuff to do. Great equipment, nice dog park, several different sporting fields, trails, and playgrounds. Nice pavilions. Only downside: it's like any other park... Beware of creeps. Watch your kids. Watch out for yourself, even in broad daylight. Don't be complacent.
