Our group worked with San Antonio Walks and Guide Gary on two tours during a November 2017 Art and Architecture Study trip to San Antonio. The purpose of our trip was to raise funds for our city's Art Museum. First, Gary provided a walking architectural...More

We took the sightseeing tour option. Still lots of history but not just the Alamo. We learned about other aspects of San Antonio history as we walked through the center of the city. Especially liked the visit to the interior of the Menger Hotel. Gary...More

This is the tour if you are a history buff. The website is very clear on this. He builds a great flow of info which if interrupted by questions would lose its continuity. Second visit to San Antonio and finally I got my arms around...More

Please read the web site and it has the note for people who wants to take the History tour. We requested a easy Sightsee Ver of Gary's tour, but it was for History mania rather than first-time San Antonio visitors. We also took the boat...More

Skip Gary & go to the Alamo. Most of the information was at the Alamo. Gary delivered a lecture. I was quiet when he was talking, but even during transitions, he did not welcome conversation between the lecture. When I asked him a clarifying question,...More

Gary has incredible knowledge! He shares his knowledge of the events and area in a manner that keeps you wanting to know more. He actually gives a better timeline of the actual events and how it all unfolded.

There are tours and then there's tours. There are tour guides and there's tour guides. Gary and our tour immediately proved to be the latter. Right at the start, with his take on the Alamo, we were bedazzled. You knew what was coming for the...More
