We were in San Antonio over Thanksgiving weekend and took three of Gary's tours - history, Missions and King William. Each tour was very different but they were all very informative and enjoyable. We could not choose a favorite as they each added so much to our San Antonio experience. If you want to know all there is to know... More

While the description for this tour emphasized that it was a serious history tour, our group was nonetheless taken aback by the intensity. It truly is for those who want an in depth history lesson on this part of Texas. As Canadians we did not have knowledge of some of the American history that the guide presumed people would have.... The highlight of our visit to San Antonio! Beautiful walk with so many restaurants. Be prepared to get a little turned around sometimes. Apparently after Thanksgiving they turn on festive lighting which I'm sure is amazing.

My wife and I took the History, Architecture, and King William walking tours, as well as the Mission driving tour and had a great time. These are not your typical "run of the mill" tourist walking tours. They are "in depth" tours, for folks who want to really learn about the subject, not just hear the "usual story" about the... My wife and I had a very limited amount of time in San Antonio. Gary listened to our needs and customized a condensed and combined tour of the Alamo, the missions and the King William district just for us. Take the VIP tour, it's great!

A wonderful stroll with Gary. What a refreshing, different take on the history of the city. Prior to the tour we had breakfast at The Guenther House. It was a great combination.

This was my third time taking the Historical Tour with Gary. Every time I come to San Antonio, I try to do one of his tours, and every time I bring someone, we do the Historical Tour. For those who are really into history and are interested in more than just the Alamo highlight tours that are common to find,... More

By far, Gary's tour is the BEST tour of San Antonio! My sister and I took the Historic Tour and even though this was my sister's fifth tour with him, we both learned so much from his wealth of knowledge. He clearly knows his stuff because he has done extensive research; therefore, if you have a question, you can bet... More

We were very fortunate to find the San Antonio Walks missions tour as this company seems to fly under the radar - we have no earthly idea as to why!? Our guide Gary was as good as they get. He was able to portray the Missions as living and breathing entities. And, he demonstrated the differences between each which was... More

My husband, adult daughter, and I visited San Antonio for the first time in early December. We did not know much about the history of San Antonio or Texas, so we decided to sign up for the History Tour. It is a two hour, information-packed tour. Gary, the tour guide, advises (as does their website) to choose another tour if... More
