Love that it is very spacious. Works well with any event. The restrooms and the concession stand are a bit dirty. The other downfall of it is that the stadium parking is very limited but there are outside parking lots that can be pretty pricey. It is walking distance to downtown area.

I took my nephew who plays tenor drums and percussion to see the Southwest Region's competition at the Alamodome and both the competition and the venue were tremendous. For those outside of Texas, the Alamodome is a 65,000 seat enclosed, air conditioned stadium. The Alamo Bowl has been played at the Alamodome since its opening in 1993. It usually matches... More

The Alamodome should never have been built this way. Better facilities in Dallas (Reunion Arena) were torn down. That would be my advice for this disaster. There is a $15 charge each day for parking. Accessing the building from the parking lot means going down and then up concrete stairs. Signs inside are inadequate. Not appropriate for a convention or... More

This may be good for sporting events but it sucks for a convention. All of the floors are concrete which is hard after a long day of pounding all over the place looking for you rooms. The signage was awful. It took a whole day to find one of the 2 elevators for such a large place. The audio equipment... More

We went to the Dome for a high school graduation. it took 1.25 hours to finally park after arriving at the I-37S exit ramp to the Dome. There is construction all around the Dome and they had several gates and streets closed??? ATTENTION: Do Not, repeat Do Not, bring any bottled water or Pocket knifes or other articles to the... Its a big venue but any seat will do since you can see fairly well from anywhere in the stadium. I felt the parking options were insecure and a little dirty but most venues were. The prices for parking are average for any big event. Plan for 20-30 minutes traffic before you make it out of there. Good audio too.

The Better-Half and I have been to more than a few US Men's Futbol (Soccer) events, and this one event was one which we had yet to experience. Yes, San Antonio is predominantly of a Latino base nationality. So what if the Red, White & Blue was outnumbered 8 El Tri to every 1 US fan, this arena, as unique... More

Went here to see the big league weekend baseball games. The Alamodome was a nice experience for a preseason baseball game. Parking was hard to find and the baseball feild was laid out weird, but the Alamodome was never built to host baseball games. So they did the best they could.
