I love this place! It is a nice quiet retreat that is welcoming. The older trees give an ambience of it not being located in the city. My favorite area is by the Witte Museum because of the ducks, squirrels and other active wildlife.

Beautiful park with great photography opportunities! A nice miniature train ride through the park is a nice memory making moment for the family.

We took our toddler to take a ride on the train and she loved it . We also loved it, the area is beautiful with lots of things to do and many picnic areas.

Even my husband enjoyed himself. Just one of those places you have to see! Better when it is cooler though.

Mostly shaded (thank goodness) running loop was about all we used in the park. It was paved but a bit rough in areas. Water fountains and port-a-potties available. There was a children-size train running through it, which other people were enjoying and it is on the river (although I didnt see that part). Seems well-maintained and used.

Brackenridge Park is a favorite of locals. As the description states, there's a ton of things to do there, although the description is wrong-there has not been a skyride at the park in over a decade.

One of my Grand Daughters favorite things in San Antonio. The line was long but moved very fast. We were on the next train. The conductor was great.

Breckenridge Park is a place we visited as children - in the 50's. A lot of things have changed, but what is here is wonderful. Beautiful part with a river running through it. Hosts the SA zoo, the famous small train, and many, many picnic tables (concrete). Don't try to eat at one during Easter - people camp overbite to... More

A few trails and a nice river. Playground, train and museum to enjoy or pack a picnic and hang by the river. Kids can wade to cool off on a crossing that water flows over. Much of the trail has shade from large trees, nice break from the sun!
