The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

We stayed at a hotel that opened right onto the River Walk. We spent our days out and about doing other things but for the 3 evenings/nights we spent here, we loved walking the River Walk. There are plenty of food and bar options or...More

Riverwalk is a stretch of restaurants and shops just below street level along the river. You can take a boat ride for about $12 and get a guided tour of the area. Super fun and many dining options suitable for everyone. Take a 15 minute...More

I've heard about the river walk for years, but I guess I expected a typical tourist shopping district. It really is a pleasant and appealing. Certainly the big loop or bend area is packed with bars and restaurants, but it is still appealing. I strongly...More

It was a lovely spot to walk. Restaurants surrounding it seemed overpriced. Didn't do the boat trip, but maybe we would have had a better appreciation for it if we had. Nice pretty oasis in a very "downtown" area. yes, it's worth doing, but not...More

Great place to stroll and take in the atmosphere and find a place to eat but do go a little further than the hub and walk out further to the more tranquil reaches of the walk. Great to visit night or day

This trip to Texas was cold. We walked a potion of the river walk and found it interesting, took the boat tour as well. If it was warmer would love to spend some time exploring it better.

The San Antonio River Walk is worth a visit. It's a great place for a leisurely walk to people watch, eat, and shop. The scenery/landscape is charming.

Great to stroll along, very pretty, but too many chain restaurants. Like the fact that you can take your drink with you.

We walked the LOOP portion of the Riverwalk with some friends. We enjoyed the scenery, the history, and a couple of beers with a local lunch.

The water is dirty, there are no safeguards on some places, the restaurants are average. It was hyped up a lot but I didn’t find it very impressive.

You can explore the basic Riverwalk area in 3-4 hours, be sure to take the cruise, and eat outside at least once. But, there are many small shops (jewelry, art, etc) that are worth popping into for a look-see and depending... More

Street parking is somewhat limited so if you want easy parking its best to use one of the many convenient parking garages.

Parking is easy, but expect to pay about $5 for it.
